Funnies

Today, while we were at the mall, we passed the Coach store.  Brandon said, “Hey, that’s where Daddy gets all his stuff.”  I said, “What do you mean?”  (Dave is not a fashionista…he has no Coach gear).  He said, “You know, because he’s a coach.”  Yes, he has shirts that say COACH on the back of them!

While we were driving home, I commended Peyton on how well she was doing with her behavior at school.  This following Brandon telling me that the kid in Peyton’s class The natural size enhancement pills such as VigRX pills contain herbal extracts that are safe levitra in canada and do not cause any complication. Then, in kindergarten, there are all these rules.”  I was speechless.  Then, recovered and asked Peyton, “So?”  She said, “Yeah, that’s it.”

“Day Off”

I had our art lesson in Peyton’s class today. I wasn’t teaching, rather helping out, so I was relying on the other mom to get the cart. I’d helped out in Brandon’s class with the art leader for the entire group, so it’s always nice to go after that. The mom isn’t as prepared as the other leader, but we made due. She’d requested another lady come and teach, since she didn’t attend the training. I prefer just doing one teaching session, so I deferred to her. The other lady didn’t show up and the mom was a bit freaked out. We made it happen, after she asked me to email the other lady and find out. Luckily, I know her from our reading program, so I felt comfortable and had her email. After the lesson, I was going to go to work. But time was running short, and more importantly, I had no gas. I went to fill up, then I was expecting a call from work to explain something about my retirement. I’d been trying to get an update since I was locked out online. It’s been 3 months since my request was initiated, and the lady called me at 5 minutes to eight this morning. I told her that it wasn’t a good time, since I was getting the kids off to school. I sat in my driveway by 1015 am to call back. Luckily, I got the same lady who tried to call me. What are the chances!?! She even said it was fortuitous. She gave me the status update and it was all because I’d changed from union to management for a few months, back to union. Glad everything is a-okay, but wonder why it took 3 months! By that time, I changed, and headed back to school on foot. I checked into the office again and headed to the lunch room. I met the class who was heading in, then I was asked to escort a straggler who forgot his lunch. While we were coming back, I saw another straggler, but it was Peyton’s classmate! We waited for him and saw both the other kid’s teacher (Ms. S, from Brandon’s year) and Mrs. M, Peyton’s current teacher. I explained to both what the situation was, and both were disappointed in their students as they were both asked as a class if everyone had his or her lunches. Recess was easy, as I spent most of the time chatting with Peyton’s friends, who all call me, “Ms. Mah.” Sounds better than “Mrs.”! I walked home after recess, and then turned right back around to go pick them up from school. I got my 3 miles in, and it was a gorgeous day! After pick up, we headed home for piano, homework (for Peyton) and getting ready to swim. I had the kids dress a bit more decently, meaning clothes over swim clothes, as we had one stop to make. I had to pick up a packet at the PC office, by swimming. For those men who might not understand the meaning levitra overnight shipping of this sexual condition. We left with plenty of time to spare, and sat outside for about 5 minutes before heading into swim to wait another 5. The kids were giggly today, maybe something in the cold water! There was another instructor with two older women in the pool, so that’s probably why they were giggly. But the other women were just beginning, and the kids were swimming from shallow to deep end. The ladies were telling each other, “Be careful, the fish are coming!” But because they were so giggly, they sounded like Minion fish. They did do what they were supposed to do, but amid giggles. They even had Ms. Sarah giggling along with them. They didn’t touch each other or horse-playing, so I wasn’t as mad. I told them they only earned one point instead of two that they could have. We came home and showered up, and then we practiced with Brandon on the piano, as he didn’t have time earlier. Then, it was time to head out for my phone appointment at the A store. I had “old lady” problems, and Dave isn’t a good A tech support guy. He won’t even TOUCH my phone. I was concerned about taking both kids to the A store, at 6 pm. I know by that time, they are usually stir crazy. I left the house by 5 pm to head to PA. We got there about 30 minutes later, and I checked in, hoping to get someone earlier. Both kids parked themselves at the empty kids’ table, and each picked up a device. I perched at the help table just keeping my eye on them. A teen came up to the table, and she did something or said something, but both kids were laughing (I later found out that she asked Peyton what game they were playing [minion rush] and she was ignored. Then she asked Brandon, and he ignored her, too [“Because she’s a stranger,” he said.] Finally, she asked another time, and Brandon finally told her.) When I happened to look at her, she was smiling and laughing along with them. When the guy came to help me, I was happy that he wasn’t really able to answer my question right away either. See, he doesn’t know about PC’s. By this time, I totally turned my attention off the kids. He had to look up the problem, then ask another guy, who didn’t know my screen was touch, saying, “I’m not used to that.” I’m sure Dave would have been amused. Finally, he did get me my answer, and we were all done. Oh, and I can’t upload in HI def at home, but I was able to do so at the store. Go figure. We have wi-fi issues at home that were apparently not an issue at the A store. Eat that, Dave…I took them to dinner at the grilled cheese place, and each ordered the grilled cheese kids’ meal. It came with apples, and then I got a salad for them to split.  I got myself a salad, and they were doing great coloring and playing with the placemats.  They even sat together and played tic tac toe!  I didn’t have to separate them during dinner either.  It was completely not what I’d expected, and I was happy to not have to deal with bickering kids, for once.  We headed home after that, and since both had already showered, I brushed their teeth, and lights were out by 715 pm.  Of course, Dave came home 30 minutes later, and Brandon was still awake knocking on the window.  Seriously, he should have stayed away until they were totally out!  Now, it’s time for me to wipe out my phone of pictures to get it ready for tomorrow 🙂

Disaster!

Today, we had piano lessons, reading, and homework for Brandon. We mostly finished that until Peyton decided she wanted to practice the new songs, even though today was our lesson. Usually the kids don’t practice today, since it’s lesson day. She even finished her reading without a meltdown, and got her quiz right after two attempts. When she started to play piano, she got frustrated. She ended up with a five minute time out from piano, and she calmed down, just in time for Brandon to flare up. He was upset because she was yelling at the piano, and then he was trying to correct his math that he didn’t want to do. She stomped downstairs and set the timer herself for 5 minutes. I excused myself from his situation upstairs, and headed to my happy space to ignore them both. Cue Dave walking in. I was at the computer, with Peyton sitting below me working on a look and find. She was calming down, while Brandon was still fuming upstairs. I told Dave, “Yay! Just in time. One is in time out, just having been in tears, the other is actively crying his eyeballs out over his math.” Dave said, “Well, I’m leaving at 650 pm for the science meeting for school (it was 6 pm).” He looked down at Peyton, who was smiling at him, but still had residual tears in her eyes. Ding, the timer went off, and I went back upstairs with Peyton, who I reminded was showing perseverance (this month’s character trait at school) trying to learn the song. She decided to take a break, eat dinner, and she wanted to continue to play after bathtime. She ate her dinner relatively quickly, while Brandon settled down after getting food in him. Peyton continued to play piano, while Dave was trying to get Brandon to understand his math. His brain was less cloudy after dinner, and he was able to get it done, just as Dave was leaving. Before he left, I told him to get Peyton brushed and flossed, so she’d be ready to go when Brandon was done. He finished up, showered, and was ready for bed by 715 pm. Both were in bed by 730 pm, and I was missing the gym tonight because of Dave’s meeting, so I did a little work out on the new smart tv that Dave got. It had some workout videos that he’d loaded to his tablet many moons ago, and swore he’d complete (riiiight). I did the cardio one, and 10 minutes of the back and shoulders. It was just the warm-up part, but I was tired. Brandon told me he woke up at 710 am this morning, as he’s been really tired lately. They both had an off afternoon, and Jeopardy was nixed as a result. Because of that, they were both asleep about 15 minutes earlier than had they watched the episode, especially being single mom for the evening. Let’s hope they don’t get up too early, since I still have the art lesson tomorrow morning.

And…she’s out

I picked Peyton up from CDC while Dave had Brandon before basketball practice, just after drama practice. We came home, ate, did reading and piano before watching Jeopardy as the boys got home. After it was done, at 730 pm, she brushed her teeth, and was off to bed. She was there for a few minutes, and we were talking to Brandon and checking homework. More Cuddling

This morning, Peyton and Brandon both got up late. They told me they got up by 7 am or so, which is about half an hour later than normal. Tonight, I asked Peyton about it. She said, “Well, I didn’t even cuddle with you. I looked for you, but you weren’t there.” I told her it was Tuesday, and that we only can cuddle on Mondays and Wednesdays and some Fridays during the week, but NOT Tuesdays and Thursdays. She was pretty tired again this evening, as I was brushing her teeth, I could see it in her face. I asked her if she was tired, and she nodded, “Yes.” Rare that the kids will admit to being tired, so I know they are when they do say it.

Over-Scheduled!

Today was a bit nuts.  Dave had baseball evals to attend, leaving here around 1030 am.  Brandon had a game in LA at noon, but we had to be there by 1130 am.  He told me I had to leave by 1110 am.  Dave took Brandon to get coffee this morning, while I eventually got Peyton up and at ’em.  She read some more books in her log, and then practiced the piano.  Brandon practiced when he came back, right before Dave left.  I let them watch a little tv before we headed out.  Peyton was exhausted, and she was falling asleep at the game.  It was another close game, and Brandon scored!  He had a bank shot against two defenders.  He just threw it up there, and it hit the glass and went in.  I think he was even falling away!  I texted Dave, trying to describe the shot.  Brandon told him a similar story, “I had two guys on me, and I was falling back, then I shot it. And it went in off the back.”  The team won by 6, and scored the same score as yesterday, 24.  This time, the opponents got 19, and yesterday was 16.  So, Dave is the black hole!  The team won without Brandon and Dave last week, and then they won WITH Brandon this week!  Charlie, the other coach’s son, realized it, too.  We came home, and I got Peyton to sleep.  We had tickets to the science show later in the afternoon, and I’d have to be taking both without Dave.  Brandon watched Mulan while I took a nap  Kamagra medicine is emerging as superhero to kill the cancerous tissue in and around the prostate,* Hormone deprivation therapy to stop the production of testosterone, a male sexual hormone, which plays a crucial role obstructing the activities of PDE-5 to prevent and/or cure erectile dysfunction. find address cialis no prescription canada Seniors and adults that are already taking some other medicines then avoid taking tadalafil as it can show tadalafil prices some side-effects. I set the alarm and snoozed a bit since Peyton wasn’t up yet.  Finally, I decided to wake her to go.  As I did that, I checked again, and the show time was 5 minutes from the time I’d woken Peyton.  OH NO!  She was whiny and crying as I must have scared her awake.  She wasn’t going to be pushed, and it was still at least 15 minutes away.  I made the decision to forgo the tickets, and decided to walk to Dave instead.  The kids finally agreed, and we headed out.  He called to inform that he was done, and he headed back toward us and met us half-way.  We all headed to shop for Peyton’s cake.  She wants Big Hero 6, since she’s six, and the regular place we get cake didn’t have the design, but the specialty store that we’d gone to in SM had it.  So we went back to LA to shop around for cake.  We headed home, and then had dinner.  Brandon practiced his song, Conjunction Junction, for drama.  He’s doing a great job learning the lines.  I’m impressed!  Even while I’ve been practicing with him, I still can’t learn the lines and get jumbled up.  After dinner, they headed to bed by 7 pm, as it’s been a late night the past few nights.  I headed to the gym to get some miles in, and was able to run 3 miles in under 30 minutes, something that hasn’t happened in awhile.  I came home to a quiet house 🙂  Time for the week to begin again.

Warm Weekend

This morning, I got up and out with Peyton to attend a step class at the gym. I wanted to try it out, and I need to change it up. I checked her into the kids’ center, and she happily waved bye to me. I waited around outside, and then entered and tried to look around to what other people were doing. The class was full, so I wanted to hang out in the back. I was able to hang with the class, but I was tired and a bit off step at times. I went to get Peyton, then we headed home. Brandon and Dave had gone out for coffee, and then headed to work on baseball skills. I got both kids practiced on their piano, and then Brandon and Dave left for their various basketball things, while I fed Peyton lunch and then headed her to nap. She agreeably headed to take a nap, while I curled up on the couch and napped myself. She came to wake me a few minutes before my alarm. We walked to Brandon’s game, and this time made it in time before the game started. But very often, it always sound too good to be true? Read ahead! After the win, we headed home, where we hung out until Peyton and I left for the girl scouts ice skating event. It was two hours of skating, and Peyton had a blast! I wanted to rest, but she wanted to keep going. She did many laps over and over while I watched her from both inside and outside the rink. My feet were hurting in the skates, while one of the ice guards suggested to her that her shoes were too big. We got smaller skates, and she immediately said, “Wow, these are better!” She had a bit of cocoa, a rice krispy treat, and then we headed to a late dinner with my dad, Dave and Brandon. They were right at the front of the line while we arrived. I went to help change Peyton’s clothes, as she had fallen so much. Fortunately, I didn’t fall at all, as I’m afraid how hard it would be for me to stand! We headed home, and both kids wanted to ride in Daddy’s car. I had a quiet ride home, and then we got them to bed. A late night! Here’s the video of her skating
