Daddy-Style

I got home with Peyton today, and since she was playing in the sand, I got her right to her bath.  Dave and Brandon came home, and he wanted to go out to dinner.  So, he got The tadalafil 40mg method used is dependent on the age of the patient and on the causes of impotence. The Force

Today,  Dave was telling me how practice went.  He said he used “The Force” with the kids.  The kids were being rowdy, and he wanted them to stand in a line.  He gave them directions, but they didn’t do as they were told.  He extended his arm, and waved it across where the boys were.  Using next buy tadalafil india mud pack and cold water therapy has got both mental as well as physical benefits. Pictures from the Weekend; Follow up from Brandon’s bad day…; Overlap

Here are the pictures I had from my phone.  We had the big camera, but those take longer to post 😉  since my phone is always on hand.

I’d gotten an email from the teacher that one of the parents that was teaching the art lesson spilled plaster all over Brandon’s shirt and pants.  I was expecting him to not be able to move (ya, right) when we picked him up from school yesterday, but it wasn’t that bad.  I asked him what happened, and he said, “Bella’s mom just got it all over me!”  I asked him if anyone else got it on them, and he said, “Bit (his neighbor) got some on her desk, and a little on her arm.”  But I’m sure it wasn’t as bad as Brandon’s, who had it all down the front of his dark blue shirt.  Poor guy, just added to his misery of the day.  Today went much better, as he got a blue card!  Hurray for the small things in life.

Dave was just informed of Brandon’s baseball schedule.  Luckily, there is a coach for the team, as Dave was initially asked to head coach, but he wanted to find someone else, since the baseball schedule can be up to two practices per week.  He didn’t want to commit to full head coach, but he did offer his assistance, since he will most likely be there with Brandon at practice.  The problem is the first practice for baseball is on the last practice day of basketball.  Baseball is from 5-615pm, and basketball is 6-7pm.  Baseball is close by, but has to be held earlier until day light savings kicks in on account of it getting dark early.  Brandon (and Dave) will be extra tired on 3/6/13.

Full Moon

Today, Peyton didn’t sleep at naptime. This was a surprise, since there was no rainout in the morning that would have prevented her getting her energy out. The teachers blamed the moon or something. When I got home, she was fine. Then, Brandon came in, crying. Dave came in after, and I didn’t get a story from either of them. Finally, Brandon told me through sobs that his finger was smashed by another kid at CDC. He had the beginnings of petechiae at his fingertip on the middle finger. Fortunately, it was on his right hand. He was crying so much, I could barely get the story out. He just said that his finger ended up there, which we told him just couldn’t have happened. I told him I NEVER had my finger accidentally in a stapler, when someone else hit it. He was upset, but still managed to eat his food. Peyton was then picking at her food with her fingers, and had her food taken away. A man was thrown from his car and he was a brown belt. http://mouthsofthesouth.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/MOTS-08.13.16.pdf cheapest levitra Occupational therapists are given the opportunity to help children become more independent and take levitra cheap online part in managing the business and family. I think it was contagious, though Dave and I were amused. It was a chorus! I think they were trying to outdo each other. Finally, it calmed down, and we did homework with Brandon, while Peyton bathed. Brandon and I were working in the computer room, and Dave closed our door at 7pm. That meant Peyton was going down. We didn’t come out until 730 pm, and I was going to give Peyton a hug before going to the gym, but I didn’t make it in time. She was asleep already. Brandon was finishing up with Dave, when I left. As I was driving to the gym, I did see a full moon, hidden behind cloud cover. WOW. They turned into werewolves today!

Back to the Routine

Last night, the kids stayed up until 745 pm, just a little later than usual. They were playing the game we told them they could after our drive home. Both had been bathed, and they were ready for bed, but each got his/her turn to play. We tucked them in, gave them each a hug, and we came down to watch our recorded shows. Neither came out. In fact, they were down for the entire night, not something I’d expect for having just been with them the last three nights. This morning, Peyton mentioned that she slept in her own bed all night long. I told her that she did a great job. Before Brandon could say anything, I also commended him. He said, “Because I was tired!” And because Peyton went into his room at around 645 am, he said, “And I’m STILL tired!” The rest of the morning went well, with Dave taking Brandon to school, along with his car seat for his field trip. He did a great job reminding us all weekend long, so we could bring the seat, even though Dave put it in his calendar (somehow didn’t transfer to mine).

Winter Break

Winter break was delayed for a bit since Dave was out of town on business, but we still had a three-day weekend in which we headed down to “the park”. I had the kids picked up and bathed (in anticipation of an early next morning) and ready to go by about 5. We headed down to meet Dave, who had been dropped off. We met up, and I jumped out with Brandon to go potty.  When we came back, the car was empty and locked.  Dave had taken Peyton to potty, too, but he hadn’t told me. Initially, she said she didn’t have to go. He saw me stuck and knew we had a problem. He thought I’d taken my keys with me. My argument was that I didn’t have a place to put them. My phone was in the car, too. And the keys were right in the center console. There was a much higher chance of my keys ending up in the toilet versus locked in the car, or so I thought. So an hour later, and a small snack in the restaurant where the car was, and we were on our way. I fed the kids their intended dinner, and we made our way south. One good thing was that we didn’t stop for gas. Or anything. We made it down by 1145 pm, less than 5 hours. The kids went down without a problem after brushing their teeth.
We got up at the kids’ usual time the next morning. This helped get us moving out of the house. We made it to the park by about 930 am, which isn’t bad for us. The park wasn’t that crowded, and we found a ride all four of us could ride and enjoy (the boys don’t like Small World). We hung out between the two parks until about 430 pm. We met up with Dave’s parents for dinner. We turned in for an early night. We laid down with the kids at 830 pm! And slept. I’d set my alarm for 6 the next morning for us to get to the park by 7. It was magic morning for Annual Pass holders to start in DCA. We got there by 710 am so we almost made it. Brandon and I headed over to the new Radiator racecars. The wait is typically 2-3 hours but it was listed as 20. Our true wait time: 9 minutes. He loved it, and we went again. We still had time before the regular public was let in at 8. So we went a third time and had no wait at all. Since it was almost 8, most had their fill of this ride. We had an empty car, which is unheard of! As soon as it was 8, the herd came! It was our time to meet with Dave. We went over to TSM and waited for 10 minutes. Dave and Peyton had already left that area. They headed to get warmed milk and chocolate squares for later. We met up with them for milk/coffee. We hadn’t fed them yet, so headed across the way for breakfast. It was definitely more crowded in this day. We ran into Peyton’s friend from school whose mom was a former teacher there and knew both kids. We said goodbye then headed to Star Tours. It relieves you from tension and stress and helps to focus on lovemaking and maintain stiffness of the male organ to tadalafil 50mg widen and turn into soft, Caverta relinquishes nitric oxide. Aging cialis sale Visit Website effects are witnessed in males due to their unhealthy lifestyle. It does not end there, as they also carry self-tanning buy tadalafil uk tissues, which are a superb alternative to sunbathing or tanning beds. We got on to this ride twice. The second time I was the rebel spy! The kids were really excited about it and I think they told the whole back row where we sat. Then it was Peyton’s turn with me. She wanted to listen to the Voices of Liberty, a singing group. This preceded Mr. Lincoln. She sat for 40 minutes listening to the songs and then a little from the 16 th president. I was proud of her wanting to listen to the performers. We then met up again with the boys. Dave told me that he had run into a fellow Bruin fan who gave him 5 passes for Radiator Racers! The only thing was that they were for 6pm. It was only 3 or so. We hadn’t planned to stay that long but we couldn’t pass that up! We walked around a bit, traded for a Vinylmation for both kids (a rat for Peyton and a special edition one for Brandon given to him by a cast member) and watched a high school performance on the special stage. The boys were not excited, but Peyton loved it. Then we all went to watch Aladdin together to see if there were any new jokes (one at the expense of the 49ers). We sat up in the mezzanine section. I asked Peyton if she wanted to watch it again in the orchestra section. She did. So while Dave took Brandon, I took Peyton in line again. We waited about 20 minutes then got in. We took the last row on the aisle to see the entertainers in the aisle. She was a bit scared to sit on the end, so I sat there. The jokes were exactly the same but Genie did improv one scene when the audience groaned. Our view was much better! Peyton got to touch the camel’s nose! By the time we got out, Dave and Brandon finished up their two rides. We each got to spend a good amount of one on one time with each. Some memorable comments were from Brandon who, on Haunted Mansion, asked, “Can you cover my eyes? My hands are not wide enough.” We reviewed percentages on TSM, and I think he started to get the concept. He also asked me, “Why don’t pirates have teeth?” I told him because they don’t brush twice a day, and they eat sweets.
Both kids were given CNY money, and we told them they could spend it at the park. I tried to encourage them to get toys, not food, since buying food doesn’t last long with $20. Brandon chose Legos and with our discount, his money did go further. He still had 8$ so he put a Wonder Woman key chain for 5 $. I asked Dave why he wanted Wonder Woman. He shrugged. I asked Brandon the same question. He sheepishly said, “It’s for Peyton.” I gave him a big hug and thanked him for being such a good big brother. He really wanted a churro but we also convinced him to wait until we go to Costco 😉 Again, the money will last longer and we’re teaching him to delay gratification. He put the Legos together today, so I think he’s happy with things. The weather and crowds definitely made for good conditions on this trip. Both days, both kids went down for naps, so there was not much complaining. Since we split up, the kids got to go on their own rides but they were enough we did together. The kids rode Buzz together, letting Dave and I duke it out behind them (winner: me – first time ever!) We learned this was the last trip we can all cram in a clamshell at Ariel. We are no longer “a small four”. Small World was closed to get rid of the holiday decorations. Another great trip! Now we’re headed back and Brandon is counting down hours.

Made It!

I made it through the day. Phew.
We left the house as usual, then I was too early for my parent-teacher conference. I waited about ten minutes, and luckily, the teacher was prompt. She knew I had to get to work, so she cut to the chase. It was nice that I’d already been given a copy of the assessment to look over. There weren’t too many surprises. She got 3’s on most things – problem solving/discrimination (curiosity and interest in her environment, places pictures in correct sequence, visually remembers when an object is removed/presented), reading readiness (able to explain what is happening in a picture book, can tell a story when looking at picture books that have been read several times, recognizes all the letters both upper and lower case, and says and makes the beginning sounds of letters), math readiness (counts to 30, more-less, many-few, primary and secondary shapes and colors), writing skills (draws a face and body, holds pencils and crayons with 3-finger grasp, draws both circle and square correctly), attention (works independently, in a small group for 15 minutes, participates in table activities, participates in circle), receptive language/understanding words, expressive vocabulary, verbal/sign communication with others, fine motor development (she’s good with scissors), gross motor development, social development, self-help with changing clothes, eating, and manners. Where she fell short was separating from parents with ease. She received a 2 because the teacher doing the evaluation is the one who has to see her cry on the Fridays that I drop her off late. She is fine the other 80% of the week, but that is with another teacher who didn’t evaluate her. She also talks with others and moves around on occasion, thus earning a 2. She also runs in the classroom and continues to play during clean-up time. The teacher mentioned that when she challenges Peyton, and dangles a carrot in front of her, she will move and get stuff done. And if a teacher is too firm with her, she will shut down and ignore. They have to politely ask her to do something, and tell her, “Let’s see how fast you can clean up the toys. The winner will get a sticker.” They used to draw smiley faces on her hands, so I’m sure that was a motivation tactic. Basically, they said if she doesn’t want to do something, she won’t. The teacher ended by asking me if I had any questions. The summary had mentioned her being a “very confident girl and loves to interact with others.” I told her I was a bit worried because I thought she was a bit shy. She looked me square in the eye and said, “Peyton is NOT shy.” She was quite adamant about that. They have to tell her to use her indoor voice when she is in the classroom. The teacher asked if we read to her daily, and I told her that she reads to me. She wants to continue to ask her open-ended questions to test her comprehension. I have recently been doing this, as I’ve found Brandon’s comprehension is a bit lacking, though he can “read” the words. I left right at 825 am, and I dashed over to work. Clocking in 45 minutes late, I felt I was already behind the 8-ball. I was caught up by lunch, then headed to the running store to return my shoes for the pair that they ordered for me. I got back, and worked the rest of the afternoon leaving about 15 minutes later than usual. I got both kids home by 530pm. Dave had called on my way to pick up Brandon, so Peyton got to talk to him. We told him that she’d missed him and said, “I love you, Daddy,” at dinner last night. She told us she loved everyone – Brandon, Mommy, and Daddy. Dave had to go, but I made sure to call him back after I got Brandon. Immediately, Peyton told him, “I got to talk to Daddy today.” I knew he’d be jealous, so he was excited to talk to him, too. They chatted on the car ride back, but Dave had to leave again.
I warmed up their food, and they were excited to have sweet potatoes. It’s really the simple things in life 🙂 Both kids were continuing their good behavior, and after dinner, Brandon worked on his vocabulary sentences which was an extra task we’ve been adding on to practice penmanship, while Peyton worked on her homework packet given to us today. I plan to return it tomorrow, since we’ll be gone by Friday. So, Peyton was downstairs, Brandon was upstairs, and I was toggling between the two supervising. Brandon proudly showed me his work. It seems since he’s been out of school, his handwriting improved! He was trying really hard, and it showed. Peyton finished up, and both were bathed. They got down around 730 pm, a little later than usual, but still good. And neither came out before falling asleep! I am packing up the rest of our stuff, making a pizza for the road, and did almost an hour of my mini-stepper. Feeling pretty productive lately!! Let’s hope the light traffic this week continues as we make our way down to Dave tomorrow.

Great Night!

I went to bed around 1030 pm, and I hadn’t heard anything from either kid all night long. I was afraid I’d be jinxing myself talking about it too soon. This morning, I heard noise around 615 am, their usual time. I got up and started looking around. I found a dry diaper among Peyton’s pants. She said, “No, I had a wet diaper. And it wasn’t a pull-up, it was a full diaper she’d put back together. Definitely helped out, otherwise, she would have woken me up to help her. Now it’s off to parent-teacher conference, along with a packed day of calls.

Early Day

I got in to work earlier than usual since Dave took Brandon to school before heading out to his conference. He also had a list of things to do before heading out this morning, so that really helped out! I dropped Peyton off and was at work by 745 am. I knew I had a lot to do because of the three-day weekend. I picked up another task – preceptor – for the student today who had no home. That was a bit unexpected. I left for work right on time, and I got both kids by just after 5pm. We came home, and I warmed up the soup for them to eat. Both kids were excited to have soup and the cornbread I’d made. Brandon’s being fed at CDC, so that’s helping not having to pack a lunch for him. The kids ate the soup and salad I’d prepared without any complaints, spills, or arguing. I truly think they are better behaved when it’s just one parent. They were both bathed before 615 pm, and at one point, I was still cleaning up, and I’d told the kids to go into their rooms to play quietly. I came upstairs to find both of them, in their own rooms, reading a book! I was surprised especially as Brandon was reading a book about manners. Peyton was reading a book from the Guess How Much I love you series. I sat with each one while they finished up the book they were working on. Then it was lights out at 7pm. I’m hoping for a silent night! Peyton turned to me at dinner and said, “I love daddy.” Brandon kept asking me if he was coming home for dinner. Peyton had to remind him that he was in Monterrey and that it was two hours away. She clearly pays more attention, as I was surprised she knew the distance away it was. I told both kids I needed to get out of the house early tomorrow morning, and they both had their clothes to change into tomorrow. We’ll see how cooperative they are.
Brandon had a bit of a tummy ache, claiming he ate too much. He didn’t want his apple after dinner, but here is a picture of Peyton with some before/after pictures.

Hopefully I can get an indoor workout in, then kick back in front of the tv before going to sleep early. Tomorrow will be another long day.
