Another magical trip

Even though it was a short week at work, it was pretty hectic getting to Christmas.  Wednesday night was my dad’s Christmas party, Thursday was lunch at the Palace, with a quick hello to Jos, then back to my grandma’s for Christmas eve dinner.  Brandon was so happy to have my mom join us for lunch.  He asked her if she was coming with us, and when we told him yes, he said, “Then I will make room for you,” and started swiping all the stuff on the seat in between the carseats to the floor.  We had a yummy dinner, and we made it to 11 o’clock before opening presents.  Normally, we wait until midnight, but with the two little ones, it’s been hard.  It still put us home around 1am.  We took Peyton, while my parents kept Brandon.  My mom drove him down in the morning to finish opening presents at home.  Opening presents with both kids makes it difficult to keep track of who got what gift.  I have to constantly remind Brandon to check who got him what.  I always think I will remember or tuck in the gift label into the toy, but even then, when he opens the gift, the tag is long gone.  He got lots of his favorite – Cars toys, and Legos.  Peyton got fun things, too; she wanted to play with the first thing she opened.  She was better at opening presents compared to Brandon when he was her age.   She was not delicate like he was.  After we finished opening the gifts, we headed off to Kenny’s to deliver presents, then started our drive.  We were off to see Dave’s parents, which meant we got to go back to the park!  We ended up going two days and stayed all day long even though we were spending the night close by.  The parks were pretty crowded, so we didn’t get as much done as our last trip.  It was nice though to go around and Besides the complicated driving techniques, it is also necessary to make a http://www.cbs.tc/?buy=6591 cialis tadalafil canada safe deal. I had to work today, but it’s only one day, then I can go back to preparing for Peyton’s birthday.  We are having the party in two shifts to be able to accomodate the guests.  I was so excited about her favors, which I ordered last minute, and they arrived today!  I didn’t have to pay for extra shipping because they are coming from only 10 minutes away!  Plus I got free shipping as a bonus!  Dave is at home with the kids today, and I wonder how much he’ll be able to get done!!

Brandon’s nine lives

He’s just like a cat.  I think he’s used at least 2 of those lives already.  Last night was another close call.  He was standing on his bed, then slipped off, and fell onto his stool.  The problem was the stool was inverted, so he came within half an inch of landing on the leg with his neck.  Combined with a supplement, you frankkrauseautomotive.com levitra samples can get some really great results with this tip. Peyton is coming up to her 1st birthday, and she is starting to get better balance.  Once standing (with help or pulling herself up with something), she can hang out for maybe 5 seconds.  She even claps while she’s doing it.  Her other new thing is to pick up our (dead) phone, bring it to her ear, and say, “Hello” – okay, it’s not really a comprehensible hello, but her intonation that is pretty close.  We can’t get it on video because she is so excited to see herself.  Just like with her crawling up the stairs.  She turns around to look at what I’m doing, and I’m afraid she will fall that way.  Otherwise, she is good if she is focused.  According the teachers at school, they say when they sing “Head, shoulders, knees and toes”, Peyton and Katelyn will do the motions.  When I start singing, she just pivots her body back and forth and starts to bob up and down to dance.
With the holidays upon us, and her birthday not far behind, I realize I need to start planning her celebrations waaay in advance.  I am slacking this year (well, we’ve been a bit busy), but hopefully we’ll be able to pull something together.  I can’t believe it’s been almost a year.

So hungry!

Tonight, we celebrated an early Christmas at the Kao’s.  Peyton brought her game face to the party.  She didn’t crack a smile for quite some time.  It didnt’ help that we had woken her up from her nap in the car.  It was a short trip, and she hadn’t had a nap all afternoon because she was too busy with Brandon.
All the kids got presents – Logan, Mckayla, Brandon, Peyton, AND Theresa.  Peyton borrowed Mckayla’s high chair, and Brandon sat in his own seat like a big boy.  Peyton was a food machine – she methodically ate her turkey and green beans.  Afterward, she must have eaten at least 20 grapes!  She will STILL hungry.  As of this weekend, she has learned how to wipe her own mouth.  I thought it was a fluke, that she was trying to eat her napkin at lunch yesterday, but she just dabbed her mouth, and continued on.  After she was done, then she started ripping it in shreds, like I had expected.  Today, she did the same thing – she dabbed, then continued to eat.  After she was all done and there was no food left, she then started eating her napkin.  I guess the key to is keep a steady stream of food headed her way.  We still need to work on “more” – as sometimes she tends to scream when her tray is empty.  When she isn’t super hungry, she will use her big girl words.  Otherwise, it’s a shriek.  After she was all full, we took her out of the high chair and only then did she give us a smile.  We had probably been there for at least 2 hours by then.  She was happy that Daddy had freed her.  I really think she probably could have eaten more if given the chance.  I told Dave to be gentle with her, as she had eaten lots.  I didn’t want it to suddenly come back up.
I was able to finish up my calendar pages for the exchange.  I was a day late, but all things considered, I’m ahead of schedule.  Hopefully Audrey can still incorporate the pages.  I can’t wait to see the finished product.  This is my fourth year now with the girls, and I made it just in time.

We got home later than Brandon’s usual bedtime, but right before I gave him a hug, I gave him a shot of fluoride.  He said, “Ahhh,” as he opened his mouth wide.  Peyton had been reading a book with Dave and Brandon, and when I turned to her, she did the same thing, “Ahhh,” with her mouth wide open, too.  Man, she learns quickly.  Yesterday, she even signed “More” when we did fluoride.  It must be yummy for her.
I’m glad we have a short week coming up.  I’m exhausted, and the week hasn’t even started yet.  Good thing no homework for Brandon until the new year!

Still no internet

Having to update the blog from our phones is getting painful. But if I do not jot it down, it will be forgotten. This morning started super early as I had my CDE exam at 9 in the city. I had scheduled it for a closer site but they had to cancel. Since it was held downdown, I decided to drive up halfway then take the subway the rest of the way. Problem is the testing site was still another mile and a half up. Dave told me to catch a cab, but me being cab-phobic (not to mention very bad with public transportation) I decided to walk it. It wasn’t a straight shot either so my phone GPS helped out. I got there in plenty of time and since no one was there to let me in, I went back for an egg nog latte. This was the first exam I’ve taken on a computer. It seemed a bit strange but I managed. One great thing is you get results instantly! I was a little worried about failing – the test costed me $350 to take. It is supposedly required for my job, but it’s been 3 years already. We were just getting pressured. I quickly scanned the printout to find the magic word “passed”. Phew – now I can move to finishing up Christmas gifts and get more unpacking done. I called Dave to tell him. I also wanted to know what jammies Peyton was in because today was Jammie day at her school. Dave said “the fire truck ones.” I had to clarify with him. He told me, “Brandon is wearing his fire truck jammies.”. So the wires got a little crossed, obviously. I told both sets of teachers what had happened. Luckily the bottoms were thin so Dave put some regular sweats on top. The shirt looks sorta like a normal shirt just thinner. Dave had layered a thermal layer under that. So did Emily, Veronica’s mom who we’ve had playdates outside of school. Oh well, that’s what happens on Daddy’s watch. After Dave dropped the kids off, he went to pick up his glasses at my work and got them adjusted. After my test I did a few errands and went home. As I was pumping, the doorbell rang. It was the DSL guys trying to figure out what is going on with our internet. I was so not prepared for anyone to be there. I was wrapping gifts and pumping so it took me awhile to get the door. The guys were here for almost an hour and I was running behind in the next round of errands. Our work was distributing turkeys for the holidays. Yep, that’s right, a free turkey to all employees. I went to pick up my ticket, the drove by to pick it up. Managers from all departments were there distributing. Funny thing was I saw my boss there! The turkey he was to give me slipped and landed on the floor! Nice. I did get another one. I picked up both kids with plenty of time to spare. Dave was already home getting dinner made. While we were eating, Brandon looked at Dave and said, “Why did you get new glasses?”. Man, I hadn’t even noticed, and I knew he had gone in to pick them up. Brandon hadn’t known that. Crazy observant. After the kids went to bed we unloaded more boxes. We can now put one car in the garage! We now have to work on the other.

Tiggle Tiggle

This morning, as I was getting Brandon ready for school, Peyton went up to the TV(it’s just sitting on the floor) and started to hug the side of it.  The TV was turned off, and she was just patting the side of it.  Then she started saying, “Tiggle, tiggle, tiggle.”  I stopped In medical term perfect name for the impotency in men A man may also suffer from impotency if he is suffering from certain psychological blocks. cheap pfizer viagra Also avoid feminine sprays and bubble baths.* After going to the bathroom, always wipe from front to back to school or furthering their education. amerikabulteni.com discount viagra How to overcome performance anxiety? Trip Recap

This month has been a blur with the move, and also our quick trip to Disneyland.  We left after work on Tuesday, and Dave safely drove us down to OC.  Both kids did well in the car, sleeping much of the way.  They were awake when we got there, excited to check into the hotel.  It was about 2 in the morning by the time we all got settled.  That didn’t stop us from getting up early the next morning to get Dave to the park to celebrate his birthday.  He was determined to get there when the park opened.  I think we missed that by about an hour.  We were within walking distance – about a 15-20 minute walk, which was perfect exercise for us.  Dave got his “Happy Birthday” pin, and was wished happy birthday by both cast members and guests.  He also received his gift – a gift card, which could be used to purchase merchandise, or our planned photo CD.  We had a great day, sneaking in ice cream sundaes for Mommy and Daddy while the kids napped.  This is very difficult to coordinate both naps at precisely the right time, so as to enjoy the treats.  This backfired the next day as Brandon, then Peyton woke up right as we sat down to eat.  This just means having to share 🙂  We stayed up late on Thursday to enjoy the fireworks and “snow” down Main Street.  Friday, we met up with Katie and Pish.  We wanted to make sure we weren’t late in meeting up with them, especially since they were driving in and we were so close.  We rode a few rides with them, and watched the Mickey Mouse Playhouse live show (aka Mommy’s naptime).  We took Pish on a new ride – Toy Story Mania – to challenge him with another target game.  Peyton is dragged on all these rides, but is a trooper.  She does not move for the entire game, letting me aim and shoot at my targets.  Brandon is hilarious to listen to while on this ride – “Whooh, yeah!  Oh yeah!”  He is actually getting much better at these games.  His highest score this trip was 46,000 (Dave’s highest is 186,000, and I think my highest is 178,000, for reference).  In fact, he was taking some of MY high point targets.  There were times where I was aiming at a target only to have it disappear because Brandon shot it away.  We left with Pish and Katie to allow the kids to be fully rested with naps in the hotel (instead of in the stroller).  Meg had told Dave about the Disney peppermint sticks and had us intrigued.  We asked the candymaker and they said to come on Saturday because they sell out.  This further intrigued Dave.  This book about intimacy in marriage has been listed as follows: * buy cialis Avoid making overconsumption of such medicinal drugs. Chubberman

I have the Josh Groban holiday CD in my car.  Brandon LOVES it!  He loves the Polar Express song, but it’s not on there.  I like the “Angels We Have Heard on High”, so he also likes it, too.  But I wanted to branch out and listen to other songs (even I can’t listen to one song THAT many times).  I let him How it Works The main advantage of viagra pfizer prix is that it can treat headaches, back pain and neck pain but chiropractic care is more than this. Dark Ages

Since we’ve moved, we do not have a land line for the phone, cable TV or internet.  It’s been one week.  Holy moly!  We’ve only got the radio (and our smart phones, luckily), which is tuned to Christmas music.  A recap which is a blur from last week – we’re unpacking whenever the kids are sleeping.  As of this past Saturday, we are now landlords.  It was a relief to have everything out of the condo, and get it ready for the renters.  Dave made his last trip there just as they arrived with their rental truck and belongings.  The kids have transitioned pretty easily.  Of course, we’ve tried to keep their routines as consistent as possible.  The teachers have told me that Peyton joins in on their conversations, and they have to look at each other and say, “Did she just say that?”  She can say, “Up!” on occasion, definitely progressing beyond “Uh-oh.”  Mollie, her teacher, says she can sign and say “More”.  (Of course she can, the kid can eat!)  Brandon is still providing lots for us to talk about.  He had his performance this past Friday.  While we were lining up to the auditorium for seats, this mom in front of us kept turning around to look at us.  I didn’t notice, but Dave said he had.  She finally turned all the way around and said, “You guys look familiar for some reason.”  I am usually pretty good with faces, but I was drawing a blank.  She said, “Maybe with Kaiser?”  I told her that I worked there, in the clinical pharmacy department.  She shook her head.  She said she worked there, too.  I asked her where and she said, “The PICU.”  Suddenly, Dave remembered and said, “Oh, I know.  You put the IV in her arm,” and pointed to Peyton, who he was carrying.  Then she said, “That’s right!  I remember HER.”  I couldn’t believe she remembered us.  Peyton was only there for a few hours, and it was almost 10 months ago!!  Turns out her daughter is one class below Brandon.  We told her Peyton’s name, then she remembered, “Oh yeah, I remember because my co-worker’s daughter is named Peyton, too.”  Such a small world.
So we sat and waited for Brandon’s class to come up on stage.  The pulled back the curtain, and there they were, all lined up.  The entire class was dressed in red.  Brandon had his hands in his pockets (the safest place for them to be).  I don’t think he People do making mistakes when they connect behaviour of generic levitra prices their cat with a particular disease without talking to the professional.
