Today, I started out with the intention of running after dropping off both kids. I dropped off Brandon, and we stayed until flag salute was over. It was a long one, as it was “Citizen of the Month” day. We didn’t get out until almost 9 am. We stopped by to pick up something for Julie, then we headed to Peyton’s school. I got to the parking lot, then started thinking that Kathy and Kira were off today. I texted her to see if she was free, then asked Peyton, “Do you want to stay with Mommy today? Can we go run some errands, go to the library, and then go back to school for the Easter egg hunt?” She was quick to say yes, then we headed over to drop off something for Julie. So, Peyton and I went home to gather some baking supplies, then headed to see Kathy and Kira at their home. We met them, but Kathy realized she didn’t have any cake mix. I did, then the girls moved on to making their own tea party and treats with the Play-Doh. I helped Kathy with some tea party preparation, then we headed over with the treats. Kathy had whipped up quite the spread with pita chips, edamame, veggie straws, strawberries, grapes, and apples.
