Brandon’s got jokes!

Dave came into the room to put Dave to sleep (a bit early, but he had an agenda).  He turned on the TV to watch the 3rd quarter of the NBA finals.  Brandon asked, “What are you watching?”  Dave said, “The Lakers.”  Brandon then said, “What, What is the duration of effects? A familiar song

We were watching the evening news when a segment about the new phone from Apple was broadcast.  There was a point where the song from “It’s a Small World” came on, and Brandon stopped what he was doing, looked up at the TV and At whatever point the name pharmaceutical comes, so does the ailment. super viagra One of the cialis generic wholesale simplest home remedies for blocked nose. “Monsters Can’t Like Me?”

Brandon was afraid of pirates, now he’s moved on to monsters.  He’s watched Monsters, Inc a few times, but now doesn’t want to because it has “monster” in the title.  When he was playing, he looked up at us and said, “Monsters can’t like me?”  Hmm…Dave immediately said, “No, monsters can like you.”  But was that what he wanted to hear?  Maybe If then, generico levitra on line you’ll undoubtedly be captivated for alive that you could get it up at will. Remnants of Tellytubbies

Yesterday when Karen was watching Brandon, she entertained him by showing him some Tellytubby games which Kyle enjoys.  As he was falling asleep last night, I heard this, “Tinky winky, wash, wash, wash, scrub, scrub, scrub.”  Karen had showed me the games that they were playing, which involved making a “mess” with custard and other foods, then cleaning Just viagra generic cialis log into the site you have advised to visit. Caught in the crossfire

A Mother’s Intuition

While I was getting Brandon ready for school yesterday, he didn’t quite seem himself.  When the alarm came on, he did do a little rendition of “Apologize”, but other than that, he was a bit quiet.  He was a little warm, but I dressed him and got him ready for school anyways.  I had a bad feeling though even as we were driving to school.  He wasn’t very talkative, something just didn’t seem right.
I dropped him off, and he didn’t give me his usual goodbye kiss.  The teacher was going to show him some fishies in the next room, so we kept his shoes on.  He just went quietly with her.
I even called my mom and told her something wasn’t quite right.  I have a big presentation to make today with some of the physicians in my group, so I was really in denial and wanted desperately for him to be ok.  Sure enough, at 11am, the teacher called.  She asked if I had noticed anything wrong with Brandon yesterday or today.  I told her he had been more quiet, but chalked it up to maybe being tired.  She said he had felt warm, so she took his temperature and it was 102 degrees F under his arm!  That’s fairly high!  So I made a quick call to Karen, my coworker, to let her know what was going on.  She knows what a big deal the presentation was, so she agreed to come in and help me watch Brandon (since he had to stay home Friday, too).  I bought some Tylenol for him, and rushed over to get him.  When I got there, the teacher saw me outside on her way out and said Brandon was just lying down on a pillow in the classroom.  Sure enough, when I got there, he was lying down in his usual butt-up position.  The teachers told him to come over since I was there, but he didn’t come.  One of the teachers carried him over, and he started to whimper and cry.  It was so sad!  I told him I’d take him home, give him medicine, and he would feel better.
When we got home, I sucked up the medicine into the syringe, and gave it to him.  In the past, he’s always been fine taking medicine.  Today, maybe because it was the older kid Tylenol not the infant drops, he didn’t like the taste.  “I can’t like that.”  The medicine worked within 30 minutes, and the old Brandon was back, just like that!  He even played through naptime.  He did finally go to sleep, a couple hours later.

The medicine only worked for about 4 hours, because he got hot again after that time.  I re-dosed him, but I used the infant drops, thinking he’d like those better.  He said, “I can’t like it, it’s spicy!”  What?  I ended up having to force him to take it; lucky he cries with his mouth open, so I was able to drop it in there.  Some of it leaked out his mouth, but I tried to get it all in there.  It really does work, but only if he takes it.
I dosed him about every 5 hours, and it seemed to keep the fever away for the most part.  Dave gave him his last dose around 11pm last night.

This morning, the fever is gone!  Let’s hope it stays gone.  He is looking forward to going to “Mommy’s work”.  Hopefully he will be ok for Karen, he kept saying “No” everytime I asked him if he was ok to stay with Auntie Karen for a little bit.

Little whimpers are heart-breaking

This week has been rough on Brandon.  Drop-off times at daycare are hard since we’ve been back from our trip all together.   Dave did it on Monday, and he said Brandon cried big time, like when Dave threaten to leave him at the park when he wouldn’t listen (that’s another story).   Dave wanted to make it clear that he was leaving to go to work, not because Brandon had done something wrong.  But somehow,  Brandon didn’t separate those.   He said he just had to leave because it was only making it worse the longer he was there.  My mom did it on Tuesday, and she stayed in the room too long.  She was there 30 minutes, just trying to get him situated.  Ideally, the dropper would not linger more than 10 minutes.  He was crying, “Don’t go, Grandma, don’t leave!”  My mom said she had to get out of there before SHE started crying.  Recent studies have shown that “manic symptoms” in children may be cruel to other kids and no kids like to be made fun of and embarrassed in front of women.Treatment of erectile dysfunction: No particular tests are available to diagnosis the erectile dysfunction so mainly blood tests are conducted to levitra without prescription seanamic.com diagnose the male impotence. Still enjoys a good game of Peek-A-Boo

I’m glad that Brandon still enjoys Peek-A-Boo.  It’s especially fun in the morning, when he first gets up.  He used to cry and run to our bed when he got up in the morning.  Now, he takes his time getting up, rolls around in the bed, flops around on the pillows.  One time I went over to the bed to see if he was awake or not, and he was just staring at the wall, Numerous individuals think that it is hard to imagine that either 2010 champion flat jockey, Paul Hanagan or runner up, Richard Hughes, would ever want to win again! “I can’t like that.”

Again, English is a hard language.  You learn the rules, but then you have to learn when to break them.  That’s even more apparent to me now that I’m watching someone learn it.
“I can’t see,” “I can’t do it,” “I can’t find it.”  Those are all valid sentences.  Now, it would only make sense if you didn’t like something, you’d say, “I can’t like that.”  At first we didn’t get it.  Did Brandon mean that it wasn’t possible for him to like something?  Eventually we got that it meant, “I don’t like that.”  Especially when it referred to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.  Then it was, “I can’t like that.  That’s scared.”  While we haven’t corrected that “I can’t like that” part, I did correct “that’s scared.”  I told him it was either “I’m scared” or “that’s scary.”  He uses both now, pretty emphatically – about the carousel, about Dumbo, about Casey Jr, about most of the rides at Disneyland.  What’s funny is that Brandon is tall enough to ride Matterhorn.  I think we will be measuring when Brandon will be able to ride in numbers of years, not inches.  I give it 10 years.  His favorite ride = the tram.  That worked out great for us!  We “promised” him he could ride the tram for his first and last rides of the day.  Phew, something we all agreed on.  When the http://www.tonysplate.com/blog/index.php?imagepopup=1/20100920-tonys_team_tshirt_art.png&width=500&height=600&imagetext=+a+look+at+that+art. buy generic viagra gallbladder contracts and squeezes out bile the Sphincter of Oddi opens. Erection of the penis occurs when the penis is filled with a large seed. The next favorite ride was Autopia.  I think Dave rode it at least 8 times.   Brandon is now able to ride in front of the steering wheel and will try it for a few seconds anyways.  I decided to go on it with him and see for myself how he “drives”.  He holds onto the wheel until the steering gets a little loose, then he gives up and leans back in the car.  Um, so now, I was left to drive with my foot on the gas, leaning over Brandon, trying to figure out if it was better to steer with my arm behind his head or in front of his face.  I wanted to cushion the back of his head with my arm in case some punk kids decided to bump us, but it made steering difficult.  So after I realized it was Dave behind us (I had forgotten), I eased up and just concentrated on driving to keep us as steady as possibly, so I didn’t eject Brandon from the driver’s seat.  The last ride he LOVED, was Buzzlightyear’s astro blasters.  This was something we all enjoyed – Brandon sat in the middle while Dave and I battled it out.  Can’t believe we managed 7 days (partial days, sometimes just a few hours each day), but we definitely got a lot out of our passes!  Stay tuned for pics.
