Thursday, Peyton went on a field trip to a local grocery store. It was a productive conversation, and because of the recess being done, we were able to discuss our concerns we’ve had in not so many words. The principal took some notes to follow up with the teacher on timely feedback (daily) and also had told us of the strategy of keeping Peyton in the classroom and not kicking her out to other classrooms which she wants. Dave took off to work while I went straight to lunch helper. She was still on blue and ate her lunch nicely. She was the first one in so she’d be the last one out. We were the caboose together when we moved to the playground. I watched the girls play on the monkey bars for most of the time. I also watched the scooter/trike line. One kid that did mommy and me with Peyton in swimming three years ago came up to tell me about another kid. I asked if he remembered Peyton and he said he did! He did tell me her name, too. But he was upset with me for not understanding what he was talking about. She helped me get cups to empty more efficiently. After an hour, we went to pick Brandon up from chess club. They changed quickly for swim and we were off again. I was going to leave to my parents’ house from swim but had to get back to take care of the washer. The kids showered up and we headed out after I was done. Dave met us at the restaurant earlier than we got there! He was expecting to be late because of his late start. Brandon ate a full adult meal! My mom took the kids back home, my dad took my car to pick up his from park and ride, and Dave and I headed to the mall. I wanted to take a look at my phone which has been acting up.
