We did our usual thing on Saturday morning. Peyton practiced the piano, while Brandon did some homework. Dave headed out for coffee, then went shopping. He came back with some winter gear for us; a windbreaker for both Peyton and me. We packed up some backpacks, and we headed out. Peyton fell asleep, while Brandon and I were correcting his worksheets. We only drove half way up, then parked at the Caltrain/BART station. Peyton woke up when we stopped the car. I told Peyton that she was able to conquer the Bunker Hill monument, she should be fine here. At least we were outdoors and could look around. Bunker Hill had us turning around in circles up a small spiral staircase! We headed to the Coit Tower spot we’d taken Brandon in the past. It was a good vantage point to be able to see Alcatraz, and all the area down below. There were lots of people, but since we had about 45 minutes to burn. We ate our picnic lunch we’d brought from the coffee place – cheese and flatbread Dave had bought earlier in the day. Ball Day
Today, Peyton’s game was at 10 , but Dave had to go early for field prep. I dropped them off, then headed to get us caffeinated with breakfast.
