Memorial Day

Today, we hung around home in the morning. Dave went off with Peyton to get some electronics, while I cleaned up the house with Brandon. Brandon really wanted to go see Big Brandon play in his baseball tournament this afternoon. I wanted Peyton to sleep, but she mentioned that she wanted to go to the game, too. She went off to nap, while Brandon watched the rest of a movie. Dave came down around 230 pm, after installing the software, and asked if we were all going. I had planned for just them to go, but Dave didn’t want to leave Peyton out. So, I went to get her, asleep and all, and dropped her into the car. She was so asleep, even pulling back the covers didn’t faze her. It was a quick trip there, and the only problem was us not being able to find the right field they were playing. I was able to text Jeannie, and in the meantime, Dave found the right field. The game was about half way over, but the kids were happy to watch. We left, and headed to a cooler location. It was blazing hot in the stands, and we didn’t have any shade like the rest of the families. We had some fro-yo, then headed back to the game, which was already in progress. This game, they weren’t doing as well, but Albert kept us up to date. This team has beaten Brandon’s team in the past. The team played hard, and it was good practice for our Brandon to watch. We’re hoping he gets more serious during his own practices and emerges a leader on his team. We ended our weekend early (last night, all of us were out by 930pm!). Tonight, we are doing the same thing, getting ready for another (short) week of school/work.
