Busy Morning/Day So Far

This morning, the kids slept in a bit, until 645 am, but I was already up and changed. I had to drop Peyton off, and I brought Brandon along for the ride. He reminded me about homework he still had to do, which I’d asked him to NOT do in the future. We swung by home, picked up the necessary worksheets, and he knocked them out on the way to school. I didn’t have a chance to check them, as I went in one direction, while he went in the other with a classmate. I headed to the garden to help set up our breakfast Thank You to our readers this past year. We were hosting 25 people, but thankfully most of it was already set up by the other mom.  We had a nice breakfast, and I had to give a mini speech to thank our head volunteer and present her with the orchid I’d gotten her last night.  Peyton even said, “I know what kind of flower that is, it’s an orchid!”  After I was done with breakfast, my goal was to go to the gym.  But I hadn’t accounted for the extra talking and taking down of the set-up.  It was 12 pm by the time I was done with school, and then I had to go back to Peyton’s class to get her.  They had DDS appointments, so I wanted to get her before naptime.  We made it back to Brandon’s class in time to check in with his teacher. Frozen was playing, and it was right in the middle of all our fave songs!  I had to hold back busting out in song, and instead texted Julie my urge to sing.  Brandon was taken back first, and because Peyton was on the ipad, she didn’t want to go as her name wasn’t called.  I waited for Peyton’s name to be called, then we joined Brandon.  Both did well, watching the movie, and opening their mouths.  Neither has cavities!  And they both earned a spot on the no cavity wall.  We left to come home to grab some books before heading over to an appointment for Brandon’s doctor.  She wanted to get a height/weight check for him, since it’s been almost 6 months.  I packed up some picnic items, like our blanket and mat for our outdoor concert later tonight. Hopefully it stays warm as it has been, so we can have an enjoyable time. The kids are looking forward to it!
