What A Day!

This morning, I woke up at 545 am to exercise. Peyton had already come into the bathroom by 4 am, so it was a little rough, but I have been motivated by my other friends who get up early (Roxy and the Kao’s! – thanks for the motivation!!) I got in just over 2000 steps, then showered up by 640 am. I dropped off the kids with no complaints and arrived at work with coffee in hand courtesy of Dave. Sounds like a great morning so far! Then, Kathleen called me, and I panicked, since she never calls since she’s overseas! She told me she left her passport on her seat from SFO to JFK, and she wanted me to ask my mom for help getting it back. I took down her details, then I hung up to talk to my mom. My mom was going to call her contacts, then text me back so I could relay to Kathleen via whatsapp, since she didn’t want me to get charged for international rates. While I was going to tell my office mate the current drama, I heard an announcement over the PA. “Will the owner of license plate 5-K-J-L-…” It was like waiting on a raffle ticket to see if your number was selected.  Only, I knew it wasn’t good news.  I ran back to my desk, grabbed my keys, had my phone in hand already, and bolted out the door.  I ran over to the parking lot where my car was parked, with my heart beating in my throat.  There were two fire trucks parked around my car.  I was greeted by some of the administration who asked me if it was my car.  I looked in the general direction, expecting to see my car on fire, when I realized it was the 1970s era VW beetle parked in tandem behind mine (I told Peyton it was a “beetle”, and she clarified, “You mean a VW?”  She also asked, “What color was it?”).  It had charred seats, and the truck and hood were both up.  There was white foam everywhere, and another innocent bystander whose car was parked next to the burnt car.  I only had a little bit of foam on my trunk, as the car had ignited from the back.  The firemen suggested that I wash my car asap otherwise the foam may damage the paint.  I had to go back to the office to get my wallet.  As I went back to get it, Roxy had just come out.  She was worried when she heard the make and color of my car.  She is not a creeper to know my license plate # (like I do with Michelle’s, as we used to drive out of the parking lot all the time together!), but when she saw my empty seat at the desk in the office, she knew something was wrong and came out to find me.  She helped calm me down, as I was on both an adrenaline and caffeine driven high.  I was telling her all about it, while she encouraged me to take deep breaths.  She helped me find a car wash, which the others in the parking lot had also suggested.  I checked in with my program assistant, since I had patients coming in.  The head clinic manager had suggested that I get the car washed “maybe during lunch” since it was “urgent.”  I told her I was leaving “now”, and then took off.  I’d completely forgotten to take a picture of the rear end of my car.  I just wanted that stuff off.  I got to the car wash and asked the attendant what she thought about the foam.  It had dried now, baking on the car, which was hot from the sun.  I’d just come in behind the other lady and her car.  Hers was still a bit wet, since she got freshly sprayed, and a lot of it, so it seemed an easier task to remove.  The attendant had to call over “the guy” to come and take a look.  He was going to upsell me with a $160 clay wash, used to help remove bird poop and tree sap.  I wasn’t so sure that I’d receive a dime from my employer as they suggested, so I went with the standard wash and hoped for the best.  I inspected it when I got back to the parking lot, after parking WAY away from anything or anyone.  It had come off, but there were a few duller spots here and there. After 3 to 5 days, the healthy embryos are then injected viagra cheap canada back to the woman’s uterus.  I’m not sure if they were there before or not, but there was an area that looked like some paint had flecked off.  I got back to the office around 1130 am and proceeded to try to have a normal day.  I just wanted to go home and not deal with the rest of my day.  We took a late lunch, but I was able to walk 2 laps with my office mate, in 30 minutes, and another 2 in 20 minutes by myself, while talking to my mom.  It was a good workout for sure.  The rest of the afternoon was uneventful.  I picked Peyton up, then we headed to the library to return books.  She wanted to check some out, too, so I couldn’t deny her!  We then headed to the gym, where I checked her in, so that I could go to Surfset.  It was a more intense class than last time, and I loved it!  I went to register for next week, then I picked Peyton back up. They were playing bingo.  She had just won, and was slowly putting the tokens away.  The teacher told her she’d clean up, but she wanted to do it herself.  Her stay was uneventful; when I’d picked her up from school, the teacher said she threw up right after another boy did.  I wasn’t called because it was a one time event.  The teacher thinks it was because of the other boy, and it was stinky.  I told her that Peyton has a sensitive gag reflex.  The other boy did end up going home because he threw up more than once.  We went to get dinner, then headed home.  Dave and Brandon were already home from practice, early.  Dave had gotten dinner, too!  So we had two salads, salmon, and a corn salad. Dave left after he was done in search of water shoes for Brandon’s field trip.  Brandon had only started his reading book online, only having gotten past the “read through” which the narrator reads aloud.  He still needed to read the book and then take the quiz.  Both kids had not yet practiced piano either.  So, we juggled – baths, piano, and then Peyton read her library books while Brandon read his online book.  All were in bed by 830 pm, and then Dave walked in about 15 minutes later to a quiet house.  Brandon was so tired, he deferred his apple sauce cup to tomorrow.  He was allowed to eat it after doing his reading and piano.  I was surprised!  I was doing the laundry with the hallway light on, and he asked me to turn it off.  He was exhausted.  Peyton heard Dave come home and asked for a hug.  I hurried him up there, since I didn’t want her to wake up Brandon.  She has a new thing where she shuts her door. I ‘m not sure if it’s related to our nightly ritual of watching OITNB or if this is just a way to keep us out from spying on her at night time or in the morning.  Dave is catching up on his episode, while I’m blogging.  I will take off the next two mornings for exercise, since today was draining.  Friday is our all day long field trip, and I need my sleep for that!  Will try again on Saturday before tournament games start!
