Finally, I love it when I’m holding her (as I am now while I type at 3am – she was fussy while I was pumping and wouldn’t go down easily), and she is looking around, then drifts off to sleep.  I can tell pretty quickly, because she goes limp, and her head gets really heavy.  She’s just a lump.  Usually during the day, I don’t mind “spoiling” her, and I’ll hold her while I take a nap.  I did it too much with Brandon out of necessity so that I could nap, so I feel somewhat obligated to give her the same, at least one nap during the day.  Then while I’m doing my household errands, she’s back in the crib.  It seems to be working out, since she’ll sleep in the crib on her own at night.  All are back asleep.  It’s my turn now.
