Yesterday we went to our first Mommy and Me class. The age range is from 18 months – 2.5 years and was from 1030am – 11:15am. When we first got there, there were two other families that had just arrived. Both girls. In the middle of the floor was a blue gym mat. Since Brandon’s had some problems keeping his hands to himself at school, I was afraid of how he’d do here. But he was great! It was great to see him as a confident, little boy, trying new things, enjoying himself, and respecting others. Too bad next week, I have to work and can’t take him. We’re totally missing out. Luckily we have 8 other sessions, well into November. It’s a great time to see how Brandon interacts with others, since at daycare, I’m only there when I drop him off and pick him up. We’ve never really done playgroups either, with both parents and kids, so I’m glad we have this chance! Hopefully there are other classes we can go to, they just have to be on Fridays!
