Quick Update

We made it down to SD!  We ended up standing by for the flight my parents were on at 6 o’clock in the morning on Thursday.  It helped that we stayed at my parents’ house on Wednesday, but still, getting up at 330am is no easy task.  And it was a shame to wake up two sleeping kids and put them in the car in the cold.  Both kids ended up staying awake.  Peyton ended up sleeping through the flight, not even getting up to feed, which I thought was going to be hard on her ears.  She didn’t have any problems though.  Turns out the VP of Dave’s company was also on our flight.  We got upgraded to economy plus since my mom was with us.  That would have been great except we were then seated in the row behind the VP.  Dave, Peyton and I were in one row, we even got to bring her carseat aboard.  My parents and Brandon were in the other row.  Brandon was in the window seat, and was asking my mom a million questions.  The VP moved to the window seat, and Dave was worried the entire time.  He was worried about Brandon kicking the chair, which he couldn’t because his legs are too short, or having to pee (he didn’t need to) or just being too loud (he wasn’t).  My mom showed him how to equalize pressure in his ears.  He played with the legos that we had gotten him especially for the trip.  Dave thought he’d freak out all together on the ascent since it had been so long since he’s been in a plane.  None of those fears were realized; I’m sure Dave may get some ribbing when he returns to work.  On our way out, the captain was outside saying goodbye to the passengers.  Brandon kinda looked passed him into the cockpit and when the captain saw him doing that, he invited him in.  I quickly asked Dave to go and take pictures.  My mom said the captain even told him which buttons he could push.  The Advanced Urological Care website levitra sales online is run by urological surgeon Dr J. We had a great time at Legoland our first day.  Brandon even got on a roller coaster!  All the rides are perfect for him.  Some of them are age-limited, so only Dave and I could go on them 🙂  We took him to the beach the next day, then also met up with my first co-counselor from Unicamp, Keiwi, and his son, Andrew.  We hung out in Coronado, looked at the beautiful hotel, and had a nice lunch.  Our Legoland tickets included a second day for free, so we went again today.  Both days Brandon powered through without a nap.  It was a little sketchy for him towards the end of the day, but nothing like a long drive home to take care of that.  Today, he was out before we even left the parking lot.  He was so wiped out (today was 90 degrees!) that while I started typing this, he said, “Mommy, I’m tired.”  He’s never said that to me before.  Tomorrow, Dave gets to go golfing.  My mom says it’s like we’re letting him out of jail.  He’s been our chauffeur and cook, so now he gets to do his own thing without the rest of us.  He’s meeting my uncle out there, so he should have a nice time.  We weren’t planning on golfing, so he has to borrow clubs, shoes, shirt, etc.  Our double stroller is holding up nicely; Peyton is now enjoying it.  Before she didn’t like the swaying, but now that she can sit up better, it’s all good.  The sunshade is helping, too.  I can’t believe the difference in weather from Friday to today.  We let Brandon go nuts in the water park area today, and he loved it!  They even have little water slides that he got to slide down.  He was too chicken to go further into the water park, even with Dave there.  There were so few people at the park today compared to Friday (still spring break for some).  We have two more days of vacation left!

  1. 6am flight time always sounds like a good idea a week prior to the event.
Sounds like Dave dodged a bullet with the Veep.

  2. he was cool; he told us after the flight that he was complaining of having to take his laptop out. that is, until he saw all the “stuff” we travelled with. and that was only our carry-ons. we had even more luggage underneath the plane.
