I remembered what the kids were talking about after seeing another friend’s post about it. While we were in Boston, we went to the North End, which is a bit like Little Italy. She started because my sun shade had collapsed in the car, and she thought it reminded her of a cannoli. He’ll have to try one one of these days. By that time, we’d made it home and the conversation was over. We have to go up and pick him up today. This morning was another late one, with Peyton coming in at 745 am. She climbed into bed with us, and we each read our own reading materials. She had a book that she was working to finish, I had the Kindle, and Dave had his iPad. We stayed that way for over an hour before she finished her book. Then, Dave headed out for a bike ride, while Peyton and I got ready for our day. We finished up breakfast just as he returned home.
I’d forgotten to mention we’d tried a new make it yourself pizza place yesterday. We got to choose our own ingredients, but she had a problem telling the pizza maker her ingredients. I made her do it, since she needs to get used to ordering things for herself.
