Date night

Tonight, Laurie had a dance recital.  Dave wanted to sit this one out, but I wanted to go.  I couldn’t go it alone, so I had to take one of the kids.  I chose Brandon because I thought it’d be fun and he would enjoy it.  Turns out, I made the right choice!  We got there about 20 minutes before showtime.  We picked out a rose for our star performer.  Brandon wanted to get her a pink one, so we did.  We saw Laurie on the way in, and Brandon tried to hand his flower to her.  We both told him to give it to her later.  As we walked up through the bleachers, we saw the family there already seat.  Mr. & Mrs C, Scott, Jenny, Bob, Alexa and Wayland and some of Laurie’s other friends.  She had the whole row taken up, and there was a man sitting behind her parents with one open seat on either side of him. The rest of the row behind “Laurie’s” row was taken.  So we went to sit two rows behind her parents, so at least we were in the general area to converse.  As we got up behind the man, he told me the seats were free and he’d move over for us to consolidate.  Brandon asked how we’d get down there.  So I picked him up and plopped him down a row.  Now the challenge was to get myself down one row.  Not so easy in the shoes I was wearing.  Luckily I didn’t make a fool of myself and made it safely.  We said hi to everyone and chatted a bit.  Brandon sat in his own chair behind Scott.  It was a stadium type chair, so he had to be careful and sit properly, which he did.  I told him to look at the stage and asked if he could see it or if Scott was in his way.  He said, “Scott is in my way.”  Haha…so I told him when the show started, he could sit on my lap.  After about 5 minutes, he said, “Why’s the show not starting yet?”  It was still about another 10 minutes to go, so we had fun listening to “Mamma Mia” and other show tunes.  Oh yeah, the theme of this year’s recital was movie songs.  I showed Brandon the program and got really excited – “Life is a highway” from Cars was the second to last song.  Perfect (in more ways than one, which I’ll get to).  Laurie was on first, dancing The discount levitra are available in the market with the cost of two Paranormal Activities!
