Practicing

Peyton is practicing, all the time.  She is studying us.  And what is it that she wants to do?  EAT!  She watches us lift our fork from the plate to our mouths, then chews along with us.  Even when we aren’t eating, she’s “chewing”.  She looks like a cow, chewing her cud, or like she’s a fish.  We are trying to wait for 6 months.  I don’t know if I can wait that long – with Brandon, we started a week shy of 6 months because we were so excited to take the next step.  I think there’s a little white spot on her lower gum that may be the inkling of a tooth.  She’s no longer taking ranitidine, but we’re still hoping to wait a few more weeks to make sure the real food doesn’t upset her tummy.  I can’t believe she’s almost ready to start eating solids!  I feel like we’re torturing her whenever we eat something in front of her.  Her time will come.
