St Patrick’s Day

Today, I got to school early to help distribute walk a thon t-shirts to the teachers. Brandon didn’t have band, so he came over to Peyton’s class. She didn’t see me, as I came from the opposite side of the walkway. She had her trap in her hands, and she was excited to tell me all about the missed opportunity. The leprechaun made his way through the classroom and uprooted the trashcan. He left glitter on the floor and some candy in his wake. The leprechaun had managed to trigger her trap, but he didn’t take the gold that Brandon had lent her. He’d gotten it on Tuesday when mining for gold in his in-class field trip. When Peyton needed some gold bait, he sprung up and offered his gold up to her. He was a bit concerned because Peyton warned him the leprechaun might take it and not give it back. But he was willing to give it up to make the trap leprechaun-worthy.

She still remembers when the Leprechaun turned her milk green in preschool!! His name was Liam.

We went to piano all together, and Brandon did his homework while Peyton played her songs. We then headed to the tire store as I’d hit a pot hole on the freeway and there was a gouge in my tire. I wanted to know if it was superficial or if it needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, all my tires need to be replaced, but they didn’t have some in stock. I will have to come back. We headed to get an acai bowl across the street to split among the three of us. Then, I got a text from Dave that he was coming off the train soon. We met him in DT MTN for an early dinner. We ended up at a german place, watching march madness with no team in the fight. We headed home for an early bedtime as Walk a Thon is tomorrow! It may be a warm one, but better than a rainy one. And…Peyton has her first softball game of the season tomorrow! Fun times ahead.
