Today at pick up, Brandon showed me his perfect attendance award ~ a watch! Last time he got a digital watch. This time it was an analog watch.  He complained he couldn’t read the time. I had him “calibrate” at 15 minute increments.  Thus, he stared at him watch for 15 minutes.  And when it was the next mark, I would check my phone for comparison.  He did this for thirty minutes before reading a book from the teacher’s house.  Then he came with me to Peyton’s softball practice and was Peyton’s catcher.  He did a great job sitting on the bucket shagging her balls.  I had a meeting to go to, so I took off with him to get dinner first then when Dave came home, I left. 

Brandon’s had a good week. Hawaii was good to him.  He had an awesome game yesterday for the tournament of champions.  He played first base the whole game and had some great plays.  One, he had a diving catch to put the runner out.  Another, he caught the ball that was fired at him from catcher.  He has been known to drop balls at first but he had his game face on. He must have had Velcro in his glove last night.  The team played awesome defense up until one inning where they were run ruled at 5 runs. They’d been up 1-0 the whole game until that part.   The kids kept their spirits up and we’re happy to have snack shack. Brandon was satisfied with a bag of chips.  Go figure.
