Staycation

My mom is in Hawaii this week for a wedding.  We tried to go with her, but it didn’t work out.  We both had vacation time booked with work, and we were thinking to get out of town and do something.  That didn’t work out either so we decided to vacation locally.  We are never ones to just sit at home, so we found a hotel in the city for two nights and decided to be tourists in our own town.  We got to visit an out-of-towner, Josephine, who was in town to cheer on some friends in a run.  We watched a pho-eating contest, which consisted of a trough of noodles and meat and a one hour time limit.  It was kinda gross to watch.
Today, we wanted to check out a new attractions, the new science academy that just re-opened.  We thought Brandon would enjoy it.  I had been when I was younger, but Dave had never been.  We got there right as it opened this morning.  There were both live animals in the aquarium as well as fake, stuffed ones in the natural history museum.  Some displays reminded me of “Night at the Museum”.   Brandon’s favorite question today was, “What happens if you scare them?”  He said it about the penguins, the alligator, the jellyfish, the butterflies, and the stuffed lions.  The butterflies were really cool; we saw one land on a little boy’s head.  Brandon was trying to catch one, and I was afraid he was really going to succeed.  Before leaving the butterfly area, the workers do a sweep to make sure there are no hitch-hiking butterflies.  It only took us 2 hours to get through, but only because Brandon was speeding his way through the exhibits.  Turns out he was too young for Underside of the penis shaft is the most desirable activity known viagra from uk to the mankind.
