Today was our annual work picnic. It was at a different park this year, and we got a great spot in the shade. Brandon had a great time playing and sharing toys with Scott, Jesselyn, Mckayla, and Logan. He got to play on the boat with Stephanie, Allison and Megan. He is over a year younger than Scott, but about the same size. Peyton was sleeping when we first got to the park, but woke up quickly. It was her usual naptime, but I don’t think she wanted to miss out on the festivities. She stayed up, and went to everyone! After lunch, Dave went with Stuart to play tennis. I was surprised because Dave has always said he was “retired” from tennis. Brandon was ballboy for awhile then got tired and wanted some water. After that, he needed to go pee. I couldn’t bring Peyton along, so luckily she was perched on Mai’s lap. She didn’t like being on the hard ground, but preferred Mai’s lap. She said it was because he thigh was squishy. Peyton’s thighs are just as squishy, and she definitely has enough padding on her tush. After the potty, Brandon wanted to play on the ship, so we had to leave Peyton in good company. She has come along way in her stranger anxiety. Later, I was holding Peyton trying to eat a S’more, when suddenly, she started listing to the side, and felt heavy. I looked down, and she was asleep! I put her down, and she was very comfortable:
