Lots of exercise today

This morning, we went for a walk, leaving my parents’ house and walking down to the small strip mall at the bottom of the hill.  Not a long walk, but it’s HILLY.  The last time I walked that way with Brandon (and my mom), I almost left him by the roadside.  Luckily, this was Dave’s idea, and I told him I was just walking along for the ride.  Now that we have about 60 pounds of dead weight and a stroller to push, he was on his own.  We left at about 830am and everyone was in good spirits:

It had been so hot yesterday, but this morning, it was kinda chilly.  Peyton slept a little bit on the way down, which was unfortunate because she normally slumps, but since it was on a decline, her head was really falling forward.  After we all took some sort of nap (I think Brandon’s was the shortest), we headed back home to get together with The Brown’s and Mckayla and Michelle.  The men went to play tennis, and the women and children took a short walk to the park.  Peyton got to experience being in a swing for the first time.  I think she liked it!  She even liked it when Brandon came through and pushed her a little bit.  It look Brandon 3 years to be in a swing.

We met up with the guys for dinner.  All the kids behaved, and we had a nice dinner.  It was funny to see the expressions on Logan and Mckayla’s faces when I started to prep Peyton’s bottle of milk.  They were not drinking milk at the time, but they both paused to look at me.  It probably reminded them both of night-night time, especially as Logan had droopy, sleepy eyes toward the end of dinner.
Now it’s time to get some sleep and get ready for school this week.  Tomorrow is Peyton’s last day at “Grandma’s school”.  She will be starting Brandon’s old school on Tuesday.
