Mamma’s boy

Mondays are the days that Dave brings back a gigantic cookie, leftover from his lunch, which is ordered from the same place each week.  Sometimes Brandon gets to partake, sometimes it’s reserved for our after hours snack when the kids are both in bed.  When we got home from our grocery trip, Brandon asked Dave, “Daddy, did you bring something home from your work, like a cookie or something?”  Dave just looked at me, and I smiled.  Smart boy.  My boy.  We didn’t answer him, and he was distracted by playing with his legos, so it became an after hours snack 🙂

We’ve also determined that the “Mah-back-scratching” trait has been passed on to Brandon and Peyton.  I know it’s more than just my immediate family, as my dad’s brother’s wife was telling all of us how he also likes his back scratched and she said, “It’s a Mah trait!”  My dad and uncle said my grandma used to scratch their backs when they were little.  The aunties all said that my grandma favored the boys and only they got theirs scratched.  My mom spoiled us when we were little and so my brother and I like it, too.  Now she’s starting on with the third generation.
