Fruits of her labor

She won again today, edging out her classmates in a vocab/spelling game.
Not pictured is a soda eraser which went flying off her desk before she even brought it home.

And another eraser set from week 1 and a madlibs booklet.

In other news, we’ve had a week long of softball practice and clinic. She attended Santa Clara’s camp last night and had team practice Tuesday and Thursday. She asked me if there would be kids who have never played before. As I drove up and saw a girl who i thought was a coach say she attends many of these camps (she was parking her own car), I leaned over to Peyton and told her, “You might be the worst player out here!” I was wrong. She was probably the second greenest kid out there. And the youngest taking that title away from her friend that was there.

Good news is it gets dark earlier meaning there is a bit more time for homework.

Tuesday coach had stopped practice to point out and watch p hustle and dive for balls. I told him after this practice. Today, her other coach told the other girls to stop fooling around and watch p bat because she was one of the smallest on the field yet launching them. She was hitting hard and coach said, “I love this kid!”

He told them, “I can tell her where to hit it, and she’ll hit it there.” Dave said, “have her hit it over the fence!” Coach told him, “I’m gonna tell her to hit you!” Haha we were deep in foul territory. He told Dave after practice that he wished his kid would listen to him like p did. Dave just said she wanted to get better. And she’s probably scared of him. He’s bigger than Dave!

Just keep getting practice in, kid.
