Last night was one of my holiday parties. My mom was busy with a football game, so we had to find alternate childcare for a few hours until she was gone. I asked one of my coworkers who works in a different department, so she wasn’t going to this party. She and her husband agreed, so I went over to their house about 45 minutes before we had to leave. We were going to leave one car there for my mom to take home after the game so I drove over first, (then my dad was going to drop her off after the game was over) – yes, a very convoluted story. Anyways, Julie and Robert were both home when we came over. We had to re-introduce Brandon to their bunny, Copter, and teach him that he was a real live animal and to be gentle. I was afraid for the bunny as Brandon took a few swipes at him and tried to step on him. But what really helped was Brandon feeding Copter. He was eating carrots, which Brandon would hold up and declare, “Copter” and then fed him. Problem was he was feeding him too quickly, and the poor bunny couldn’t keep up! After a few carrots, he looked up at me and said, “Robert go? Robert go?” So we walked around the house looking for Robert, This is called generic levitra online for its cheap production cost and at the same time the girl cannot make satisfied to the boy. Shortly thereafter, Dave came by to pick me up. I had all the books and activities that kept Brandon busy – flash cards, the blocks that Julie and Robert gave him for his birthday, and some stuffed animals. So when Dave came, we had to leave. Brandon was all comfortable there until we were saying bye-bye. He then kind of panicked, hung on, and then Julie said, “Hey, Brandon, let’s go find the rabbit.” That’s all it took, Brandon got up, waved, “bye-bye” and off we were. That poor bunny. Jennifer and Jesselyn were going to come over and hang out. I think it helped to have another Mommy there (for Julie) and to have another pint-sized playmate for Brandon.
I called my mom after dinner, and she said when she got there they had been playing for awhile. As they were leaving, Brandon gave Jesselyn a kiss goodbye. My mom said Robert’s take on the evening was, “Brandon has a lot of energy.” I called Julie after my mom, and she said Brandon and Jesselyn had so much fun together. She had help from Jennifer changing Brandon’s poopy diaper, they had pizza (Brandon’s favorite), and the kids played well together. Thanks to all of Brandon’s wonderful caregivers! We’re so lucky to have such great friends and family.
