“Bow”

Today, I warmed up Peyton’s dinner, and overdid it a little.  It was steamy, but she was impatient.  I held out the food in front of her and told her it was hot.  I told we needed to blow on it.  She said, “Bow,” then tried her hardest to blow on her food.  She’d say, “Bow,” again, then kinda spit on her food. I guess that works, too, to cool the food down.
Speaking of impatient, she is getting to be very hard-headed. She may be learning this from Brandon.  She is downright ornery sometimes.  Yesterday, she didn’t get what she wanted, and while I was trying to take something away from her, she tried to fake bite me; like a doggy bite where they just test the waters (I dunno really, I’ve never had dogs, but so I hear).  I did stare her down when she did it, said “Uh-ah” with a “no-you-didn’t” face.  Apparently, she read that right, and backed off immediately.  Now, she is playing with one strand of hair, pulling it between each hand, like she’s knitting or trying to thread a needle.  It’s entertained her the entire blog-writing.  Amazing.
Brandon and my mom went to the museum today for his “field trip”.  She also took him to the nearby aquarium, and he told her he’d been there already.  They took a picture in front of the venue, and he told her he’d done that with us before.  She didn’t know, but later verified it with me.  Daddy comes home tomorrow, so hopefully we’ll have order restored 🙂  Nah, it’s really has been easy since he’s been away since my mom is taking Peyton to and from school or staying out with Brandon, like today.  Thanks to my mom for having dinner ready to go when we get home from work/school.  We’re getting spoiled.

Ashlyn Mariah was born today, making her entrance into the world this morning.  I forget how small babies are; it’s truly amazing.  Congrats to Robert and Julie!  Let the fun times begin 🙂
