(Field) Trippin’

Today was the second installment of my turn as a chaperon.  Brandon told me yesterday, “Mommy, we’re going on a long bus ride, and there is NO NAP.”  This time, we were going to a place that takes us at least an hour by car.  Going 55mph on a school bus which only goes in the slow lane would be at least 1.5 hours!  Fortunately, kids are on vacation, so the ratio was only 1:2.  The chaperons all met up, then we were told the bus wasn’t there yet, and we had 40 minutes of our own free time.  Coffee was suggested, so a few of us headed over to caffeinate before heading out.  In the meantime, the kids were outside, running around, as the teachers wanted them to get as much energy out as possible before getting onto the bus.  It must have worked, because it was relatively calm on the bus ride over.
The ride up was uneventful, except that we had found ourselves alongside a funeral procession, for an army man.  They were traveling almost as slowly as we were. We headed over the GG bridge, and ended up right under it at the museum. By the time we got there, it was almost 1115am!  Lunch was going to be at 1230pm, so we headed out with Nico, Krishna, and Matthew.  It was much easier following Krishna, since they have annual passes there.  She knew exactly what the boys would like.  It was also easier having another adult to help watch out for the kids; especially when it was time for potty breaks.  You never can trust these kids, so it helped to have all 4 line up on the bench, and Krishna and I took turns going while the other entertained the kids.  I had to channel my former woodsey self and be silly with them.  We did some of the indoor activities and rushed to get to lunch.  After lunch, it was a free for all at the outdoor play area.  In my However, Kamagra is a much more affordable drug, available in different strength and provide normalized sexual health in purchasing viagra australia just a few minutes. That gave me time to take a nap.  It was great!  We got back right around 4pm.  The perk of being a chaperon was that the museum gave the teachers some free passes for a return visit for up to 5 people.  Yay!  We’ll have to go back, given we missed about half of the indoor stuff.  Peyton even gets to check out this area that is exclusively for those 42 inches and shorter.  She’ll have a lot of fun banging on the drums 🙂
