Tonight was Brandon’s school’s second movie night of the year.  This time we were armed with our lawn chairs.  Last time, it was carpeted, so it was okay, but tonight’s movie, teaching us about dragon-training, was in the auditorium.  We had blankets for the kids to sit on, and for some reason, we had more than just our own to watch after.  Brandon’s friends, Joshua and Akshath joined us.  Akshath’s mom sat him down on his own blanket, then went to find a seat at the cafeteria tables.  Joshua’s mom was clear across the room, and so Brandon was nice enough to share some of his blanket and offered him a seat.  Joshua took the opportunity to have a heart-to-heart with Brandon.  Joshua: Why aren’t you my friend outside?  Brandon: Because Alessandro is there.  Joshua: Why are you my friend now?  Brandon: Because Alessandro is not there.  Yes, I’ll have to talk with Brandon again about friendship.  For now, he was being a nice friend.  Later, he even offered Joshua his lawn chair (that he got when Dave left), and he opted to sit on my lap to share the chair with his friend.
