I picked up both kids today, since Dave went out to dinner for a work meeting. After picking up Brandon and telling him we were going to get Peyton, he said, “Miss Tarez said Peyton doesn’t talk.” I asked Brandon what he said to that. He said, “Yes, she talks!” Then he mumbled, “She said it three times.” I had to laugh because I just talking to one of my coworkers about Peyton talking, but only at home. My coworker’s kid is one day older than Peyton, and she was telling me that he only says the last syllable of most words, like “Ket” instead of “blanket”. Peyton is just a shy talker. Sometimes when given my cell phone when either of my parents is on the other line, she’ll only whisper “Hi.”
