What a day!

Yesterday, while Brandon was eating his store-bought ice cream cake, he said, “Good thing we bought this, and not made it.”  This was in reference to the cake that I attempted to make for him last week – it was going to be a Lego cake.  Dave shot me a knowing look, as he whole-heartedly agreed.
Today, we headed out to P.A. to have Brandon try out his scooter.  Although he was thoroughly padded up, he managed to draw blood within 5 minutes of being on the thing, which prompted me to call my mom to thank her.  Luckily, it was the tops of his knuckles as he hit the ground, but still.  The kid was bleeding.  Peyton was in the stroller initially, while Brandon was shuffling down the street.  She kept clapping her hands and saying, “Run bruddah!  Run, bruddah!”  Dave stopped at a fountain and gave each kid a penny.  Brandon threw his right away into the fountain, while Peyton hung onto hers.  We are convinced she is truly a Mah, while Brandon is truly Dave’s kid.  We finally let Peyton out of the stroller, and she had so much fun running around.  She did almost get run over by a couple of bikers, however they were kind and even gave her a “Hello!”  Since we were in the area, we went to get our free cupcakes.  Peyton was practicing “Super Sunday” in the car, but it just didn’t happen once we got into the store.  But once we got back to the car, she whispered, “Super Sunday.”  She just doesn’t know what she is missing.  They have football sugar candies on them in honor of the Superbowl!
We got home and Peyton didn’t even wait to get home to take her nap.  She fell asleep in the car with 5 minutes to go.  It didn’t work like on Friday to talk her through it.  Friday she was delirious, but still awake.  Today, there was just too much activity for her.  I plopped her down on the floor, and she stayed awake!  Yay for an early nap.  Brandon ate lunch, and he too was down for an early nap.  He was also falling asleep in the car, but hunger was motivating him to stay awake.  When she got up, we got ready for Bailey’s 1st party.  Dave and Brandon were headed to Kenny and Rachel’s and left right before we did.  Peyton was a bit upset, crying out for Daddy.  I told her we’d go to our own party, and she was fine with that.  We headed up to the jumpy house place.  Peyton had never been to one in her toddlerhood.  The last time she went, she was Bjorned to me the whole time. I think she was probably a month old, at Decki’s party.  I knew she’d be best suited to this crowd, and it was a little too dangerous for Brandon to be there.  I had to watch Peyton so she didn’t kill herself.  I would have had to watch Brandon to make sure he didn’t kill anyone else.  The Cung-Pham twins were up in there, so Peyton was perfect!  She didn’t want to participate when we first got there.  The party started about 15 minutes since the hosts were late, so we had some time to play with Logan and Mckayla.  Logan was one of the reasons Peyton wanted to go!  She kept repeating “I see Yogan.”  Then she’d ask, “Connor?”  I had to keep telling her Connor wouldn’t be there.  While I was filling out the liability form, Peyton run up to Bonnie and Michelle.  I was so surprised that she wasn’t clinging to my leg!  She was friendly!!  I don’t know what had gotten into her.  When I went up to them, she became clingy again.  We all went in when the birthday girl arrived.  Peyton took her shoes off as requested, but did not move very far.  She looked at the little car, but she decided against it.  She and Logan were content to watch everyone else.  Then something clicked, and she’d had enough watching people.  She wanted up on the slide.  I had to spot her to make sure she didn’t fall backwards, but I also wanted to catch her down the bottom of the slide.  She had to learn how to lean forward and hold onto the rails.  After the first run with me, she wanted to go by herself.  She did do a face plant at least twice.  She continued to go on the small slide Buying patented prescription medications, you pay not only for drugs themselves, but also for arteries hardened generic cialis prescriptions by calcium. I said, “Did you think I left you?”  She said, “Yes.”  I told her I wouldn’t leave her like that, and I apologized.  Peyton then said, “Daddy purty?”  I asked her, “You think Daddy’s pretty?”  She said, “Daddy all purty?”  Oh, I asked her, “Daddy went to a party?”  So we called Dave (well, I had accidentally butt-dialed him on the slide), and he was still at Kenny and Rachel’s.  We headed over so Peyton didn’t miss out.  Cameron actually wanted a “train party”, so that’s what we did.  Seems like all the kids liked the kitchen timer shaped like a kettle.   For some reason, Peyton liked this one instead of her own, which she knows is used when she is in trouble.  Cameron again played nice host and let everyone play with his toys.  We headed home with one quarter remaining, as we needed to get Brandon’s treats together for tomorrow.  Peyton was tired as all get-out.  She went down at 730pm, with no complaints.  I got back with the boys who were molding X-wing fighters and Millennium Falcons out of rice crispy treats.  We knocked out 35 before sending Brandon to bed.  Now, we are sitting down to the Superbowl edition of Glee, getting ready to eat our free cupcakes.  Yum.
