Single Mom Log – Day #2

Today started out as any other weekend day.  Peyton woke up right at 7am.  She started walking over to Brandon’s room, but I grabbed her.  Turns out he was already awake.  Brandon came back and wished good morning to both of us.  Peyton looked over at Dave’s side of the bed, and she asked, “Where’s Daddy?”  I told her he was at work.  She frowned, then said, “I want to watch TV.”  I guess she got over it.  When I had her ask me again, we watched some cartoons. I tried to snooze, but with both of them on the bed (and my worry for their safety on the bed), that didn’t work out so well.  Peyton wanted breakfast, and I didn’t get her any for another hour or so.  Brandon didn’t want breakfast.  I don’t think he’s been pooping or something is going on.  He hasn’t been eating much.  We still had a long way to until Ashlyn’s party, so I was trying to figure out what to do with them.  The kids were both doing really well.  I ended up leaving them in Brandon’s room, playing nicely. Brandon was playing with Legos while Peyton was reading from the book shelf.  I was washing dishes downstairs, when suddenly, I heard noise in our bathroom.  I ran upstairs, since I knew it could only be Peyton.  I rushed into the bathroom, and was going to ask, “What are you…?” when I saw what was going on.  She had taken off her pants (all the way), diaper, and had gotten herself up onto the potty, without the potty seat.  I startled her, as she shivered a little bit.  She looked up at me and said, “I go potty.”  I sat there and waited with her, while she sat there for a little bit.  I didn’t hear any tinkling, mostly because it was raining outside.  Then she started to push, and strain a little bit.  Then, she sat up, and I looked in.  Just a little nugget was at the bottom of the bowl.  We both wiped, and then washed up.  She said, “I go pee in the potty!”  There was so much excitement in her face.  It surprised me, since she had already pooped in her diaper earlier.  Brandon was the one who had come up to me and told me.  Suddenly, it was a little before 11am.  We were all ready to go, then Peyton said she had to go potty again.  I waited for her to do her thing, and this time, it was only pee.  With that, we were ready to go.
It was pouring rain out, and I tried to park as close as I could (but still stayed on the end).  I managed to carry Peyton and her baby, the present, and an umbrella, while Brandon walked next to me with his mini umbrella.  The twins had already arrived.  Brandon still was able to identify them when asked (I tried to ask him more than once, but he only gave me one answer).  They had hats on with their names, so I could check him.  We didn’t wait long to eat, since I didn’t want the kids to get into the food.  I got both situated, then fed myself.  Julie gave them their goodie bags early, so they had something to play with.  Almost too soon, since they were still eating.  I had them eat first, then they were able to play.  Brandon ate more, eating everything on his plate.  Peyton ate some noodles, some rice, and most of her chicken.  She got excited when she saw a pea in her rice.  “Oh, a pea!” as she gobbled it up.  Brandon was very well entertained with the toys he brought and those that he received.  Peyton wanted to go outside.  Badly.  She kept wandering around close to the door.  She’d try to make a break for it on several occasions.  Peyton was winding down, but Brandon was getting started again, asking for another egg roll.  I was having him clean up his stuff, getting ready to go, since the cake had just been brought out.  I didn’t want to leave anything, so I was gathering things up.  I told Brandon that he could have one of the candies that were on the table for decorations.  I found one of the candies on Medications generally necessary for these purposes are used to reduce the viagra cost india chances of mingling of the sperm and eggs is also known as contraceptive pills. Brandon should have been tired, but I think he was overly so, since he started crying for Daddy and making a scene.  That lead to me turning off his radio.  Peyton was still tired, falling asleep at 815pm, but she, too, was whining for Daddy.  I don’t know if she was just feeding off of Brandon.  I think the nighttime is the worst, since he does most of the bedtime routine.  The kids were good at reminding me all the steps – brushing, flossing, fluoride.  They don’t really miss him during the day, it’s just at night.  He did call today, but Brandon only said, “Hi!  I miss the book that I left in your car.”  Is that the only reason he misses Daddy??  Dave had taken him to school last, and the things he had last are still in his car.  Peyton just said, “Hi, Daddy,” and then walked away.  With the time difference, it’s hard to coordinate phone calls.  At least he arrived safe and sound.  He even got upgraded to a loft suite, which by his report, was 1200 square feet.  He’ll probably get kicked out when they reassign him to his own level room, but he took pictures of it, while it lasted.
