Brandon’s going to…

Disneyland!  When I picked him up from school today, Angela, the teacher, told me that Brandon has been talking about going to Disneyland this Sunday. He told everyone that he’d be going.  So in the car, I asked him myself.  What are you doing on Sunday?  “I’m going to Disneyland.”  I asked with whom he was going.  “Angela.”  Oh, ok.

Later, when Dave came home, he asked him the same question, with a similar response, but instead of Angela, he said, “With Daddy.”

We went to the library again today.  He wanted to read “David” books like yesterday.  We had a lot of fun reading; he was even reading the (picture) books to himself.  Getting steps in is very important.   So is reading, so it’s great – we get to do both.  We also got to check on the dead fish (which has now been absorbed by the aquarium).  We saw some kids on scooters outside the library, scooting around.  Brandon asked what they were doing.  I told him, but I also warned that they weren’t wearing helmets.  Then something happened and two of them ran into one another.  One of them started crying, the mom came over, and the cafe worker came out to see if help was needed.  Lucky the kid wasn’t hurt, but it helped reinforce the importance of helmets to Brandon!

  1. Hmm…Coincidence? I doubt it. I think a certain someone paid them to have a ‘litte accident’ in full view of Brandon to drive home your point about helmets.
By the way for $20 I’ll have Bonnie hit me with the car to teach the importance of looking both ways when crossing the road 😉
