Carving and decorating

Brandon and Dave were wrapping up the last assignment of Brandon’s homework for the month – carving a pumpkin.  Peyton was watching, and even helped scoop out some of the seeds.  Here are a few pics of them both:

I tried to keep Peyton out of it after awhile, so we played with puzzles and I eventually gave her a bath since it was getting late.

So we stole the idea from Roxy, but Dave and Brandon put in the effort as well.  I think it turned out well.  After the kids were on their way to bed, I headed out to the gym to work off the sweets I’d eaten at work.  I can’t say no to sweets.  I can’t.  And after receiving an email from RunDisney and chatting with Tina today, I decided to go 5 miles instead of 3.  Funny, I seem to push myself when I know there are more miles ahead, and I finished in under an hour, at a faster pace than I can run 3 miles.  Mental.  I was watching boxing, which also seemed to get me more motivated.  Go figure.  I got back home and started to decorate my treats for tomorrow’s fall festival.  Brandon didn’t bring home his homework folder, so I don’t have our tickets, but hopefully the folder is in his classroom.
