Eventful Saturday

After cleaning up this morning, I took off to attend the memorial for my boss’s mother.  He had invited the department, and a few of us were planning to meet up at her former care home.  My mom thought we were still having Brandon’s first t-ball game, as she missed the subject line of my email “No game tomorrow.”  She responded that she’d be at our house by 11am.  She was, and stayed until I left.  She was working with Peyton on her workbook pages, while we were building a closet organizer for Brandon.  At about 1230pm, she asked Peyton, “Would you like to take a nap now?”  Peyton nodded, then dutifully headed upstairs, when I asked her, “Where are you going?”  She said, “I’m going to take a nap now.”  When I saw her next, she was lying down in the her bed, all snuggly, on her own.  Dave was still hammering nails into the back of the shelving, and when I went to check on her next, she was sitting up, and disgruntled.  Actually, she looked downright scary, scowling at me.  I left, and met up with Lawrence and Kathy, who was already there.  Later, Tracy, then Bonnie arrived.  Thien and Kimthy arrived after the services had started.  It was an enlightening service, with many stories shared by her children, mostly Lawrence.  It was very touching listening to all that was shared, especially since she was a World War II bride.  It was emotionally draining, however, as most memorials are, and I was glad to return home to two rested kids.  Both had taken their naps, and Dave and Brandon were in Brandon’s room cleaning up.  I was looking for Peyton, who was coming out of the restroom, having just done her business.  I helped her clean up, and then we all went to help Brandon’s room.  We fed the kids a little bit, as dinnertime is normally 530pm or so, which is when Ashlyn’s party was going to start.  Dave made corned beef and cabbage, but Peyton didn’t want the cabbage, and preferred the broccoli from last night.  Brandon ate a piece of cabbage, but did eat his meat.  I requested it not be too salty, so it was drained and soaked, so it wasn’t as salty as most.  We were hoping to arrive early to the party, so Peyton would warm up.  She was still a bit shy, but better than last week.  Brandon was asked to sit out, since he was double the size of most of the kids there.  We didn’t want him to hurt anyone or knock anyone over, so he was happy with P vs Zombies.  In fact, Peyton preferred to play with the ipad versus on the apparatuses.  She did warm up to the balance beam, gaining confidence, and ended up balancing on her own.  It was like at Kavya’s party.  Once she got the hang of it, she was willing to do more; she just needed to feel more comfortable first.  She even invited Bailey with her eyes.  Bailey made eye contact with Peyton, and she followed her Don’t forget the power of touch: viagra cheap sale – Learn to give a relaxing massage to your partner, no matter whether you are a man and woman.
