Memory

I’m taking advantage of Brandon’s memory to help me with my errands.  I asked him to remind me to get the plastic eggs at Peyton’s school, and he did when we got there!  Also, we’d gotten groceries before picking up Peyton, and I’d put them in the trunk. I usually don’t have to get anything in the trunk, so I’d asked him to remind me about it when we got home, otherwise we’d have a lot of spoiled stuff.  He did!
While we were driving around, he was telling me what he learned at his music class today.  His teacher is Mr. T.  He told me, “John Adams did the music in Star Wars and Indiana Jones.”  I asked him if he heard the songs, too, but he said they just talked about it.  I corrected him and said it was “Williams” and that J. Adams was one of our presidents.  When we got home, we started listening to videos with J. Williams directing orchestras for his more famous movies.  Peyton was concerned when listening to Star Wars, saying, “It’s going to be too scary.”  We segued into other music, as Peyton prefers “Disney music.”  She said, “Disney” specifically.
I also made some food when we got back home while they were listening to music.  I made a fig tart with goat cheese, walnuts and honey, and some more of the butternut squash, apple, walnut and this time cherry, instead of cranberry.  We’d gotten all the ingredients at one place, and Brandon was eager to try it.  Brandon had asked me to make the butternut squash, since he’d enjoyed it last time.  When the fig tarts were done, he ate two of them, and asked for another!  Peyton ate the insides, and wasn’t fond of the crust, which was probably the unhealthiest part.  I tried to take pictures along the way, a la a food blogger, but I’m not allowed to upload large files since the upgrade.  Doesn’t sound like much of an upgrade to me!  Dave may try to work on it while I’m out with the girls tonight, so we’ll see.  But when he got home, I asked him to try it, and he liked it, too!  Brandon even asked if he could have them for lunch!!  Yay, finally made something that was somewhat healthy that the whole family enjoyed!
