Music; Field Trip

I made it to pick both kids up today, after leaving work a little early. We were done eating by the time Dave came home, right after 6pm. At that time, he took over, while I cleaned up from dinner. He didn’t get to eat until after the kids were in bed, as I told him he passed the critical time which he could eat. So, he ate while we were watching American Idol. Dave’s had a bottle of wine, and the night has just become a little more interesting. We’re actually having some pretty entertaining conversations. Like Philip Phillips came up to sing, and Dave made the comment, “Why would you ever name your kid that? That’s like us naming a kid Sal Tsao.”
Then “Lady in my Life” came up in an MJ medley, and it prompted me to finally realize why the song sounded familiar. It’s sampled in LL Cool J and Boyz II Men’s “Hey Lover” (I googled it to verify). Wow, after all these years! I had a sip of his wine, and he thinks I’m blitzed, but really, I’m having fun watching him be silly.
Earlier today, Dave dropped Brandon off at school today, since he had to stay later at work. I had asked Dave how drop off was, since he went with Brandon to drop off his seat and see him off. He said one of Brandon’s friends wasn’t going, but he didn’t know why. Another friend was teasing him about it, and his dad had to tell him to back off. Meanwhile, Brandon was trying to make him feel better saying, “Don’t worry, you can go on the next one. One should know about Parasympathetic Nerve which has an important levitra in india role in erection. Dave told Brandon to leave it alone, too, since Theo was pretty upset. I found out later it was because Theo didn’t have his booster seat with him. But later, he borrowed one.
I also emailed Brandon’s teacher tonight to check in with her. I purposely dressed him in a bit nicer clothes (i.e. no holes in his pants), and he left his polo shirt somewhere. She said she noticed he had dressed up, but didn’t realize it was for the theater! She said it looked like he was enjoying the show. He even went with another parent, and NOT the teacher! Amazing. Vivian’s mom drives the same car we do (yes, it’s the Asian mom car, in the same color!). I asked Brandon if the other parent had to talk to him at all. He said that she had to tap him after the show was done because he didn’t know it was time to go. I asked him if he fell asleep, and he said, “Yeah, a little I think.” I wouldn’t put it past him, especially if it was nice and dark in there. We had to buy a little booster just so he could take it with him easily on the trips, since the kids are expected to carry their own chairs, and we didn’t think that he could carry the big ones that we have now.
