Baseball Saturday

Today, the kids woke up and played with each other for awhile until we heard screams. Then, we called Peyton in to have her watch cartoons. Brandon was in a time out from last night, so he had to wait 15 minutes. Dave then took Brandon to work with him, while Peyton and I hung out at home. She wanted to clean up her room, so we did that. She was so proud of her accomplishment, she wanted to move to Brandon’s room! We instead took out some of her dolls to play with, and I told her we’d have a princess party after ballet if she listened in class. Her eyes lit up, and she was already assigning me to a princess. We left for ballet, and she hung back until the teacher went in. When she did, then she followed. She jumped right into the stretching and warm-up, and even had a smile on her face! When class was over, she ran over and said, “I can have a peanut butter sandwich and a princess party!” We went home, and I did get her her PB&J, along with a few licks of a candy she’d gotten from a classmate’s party. It was a sucker, and she told me she wanted 4 licks. I think she ended up taking double that, but she did throw it away finally. I had to bury it in the trash so she wouldn’t take it out. It was like CRACK for her. Dave and Brandon came home by then, and she headed up for a nap, while Brandon got ready for his game. We met them at the game, and Peyton sat with me in the bleachers for the first inning without complaint. I told her I’d give her her snack (Cheerios, nuts, and apple chips) when it was half-way through. So, at the bottom of the second inning, she was given her snack. That lasted her the rest of the game 🙂 She followed Brandon to get a snack shack item. My only request was no candy. Brandon selected a donut, and he was given two. They had been sitting around since the morning, but that didn’t matter to him. He immediately proceeded to drop one, so it was a good thing he was given two. He threw it away, and didn’t complain (or try to eat it off the ground). It was a non-glazed old-fashioned, so pretty unappealing to everyone else before him that day, but he enjoyed it! Peyton picked a bag of corn-nuts, that were a little spicy, but she didn’t mind. How long does cialis professional no prescription kamagra work for? The medication is popularly known as. We said good-bye to the team, and headed over to play catch and hit more balls for Brandon. I used Brandon’s glove, and played catch with Peyton. Then, we played catch as a family of four. Brandon was taking batting practice, and then I said I wanted to hit. So, Dave pitched me a couple, then hit me with one (it was a tennis ball). I could hear both kids laughter behind me! Then, Peyton and I went back to playing catch. She caught it 10 times (or I successfully got it into her glove 10 times), and she was pretty happy about it. The ball hit her on the arm a few times, and she was not happy about it. I told her to move her arm around, and not just stand in one spot! She is gearing herself up for next year, and I can’t imagine the scheduling nightmare that may be. She does keep telling me she wants to get back into swimming, so we’ll have to coordinate that, too. When Peyton and I got home (I left early due to an injury – I broke a nail!), we had that princess party that she’d been looking forward to. When Brandon got home, he quickly headed up our way, and then said, “After I shower, can I play?” I asked him, “Play what?” He said, “Princess party! With you guys.” I told him, “Sure,” but was kind of surprised. He showered in a record 2 minutes, and came in sopping wet, ready to play. Peyton said, “You can be Dopey. And the dog,” the accompaniments to Snow White and Mulan. He didn’t seem to mind, and they played nicely. I took the opportunity to sneak out and help Dave with dinner. They played very nicely in her room until it was time for dinner! Both were happy for dinner, and they enjoyed their turkey burgers. Brandon ate 1.5 of them, while Peyton ate her half. It’s still amazes me how much that kid can eat. After finishing what he’d ask for, he did tell me, “OH, I’m full.” I left to get groceries, while Dave got the kids down for bed. I left with Brandon in bed, while Peyton was reading Chrysanthemum with Dave. That was the book she was trying to sneak when she was supposed to be taking a nap.
