Third Day; Reminder; Cupcake pictures

Tonight, Brandon went for his third day of batting practice.  While they were gone, Peyton and I re-arranged both of their book shelves.  Peyton’s missing some pieces of puzzles, and it was driving me nuts to not have them all together. So in cleaning up, we found some that were missing.  Brandon got home about 30 minutes before the end of practice (tonight’s was the latest from 6-8 pm).  He noticed his room was much neater and even thanked me for straightening things up!  He quickly showered and got to bed, since it was already 8 pm by then.  Tomorrow, both kids are going back to school.  I’m going to the volunteer fair to recruit for a new program, Asset-Building Champions, which is to help kids deal with situations like bullying, conflict resolution, and so forth.  We’re looking for parents to help read books aloud to the kids at each grade level.  I’m in charge of making sure each classroom has volunteers to read, and coordinating the volunteers.  Dave is going to help recruit for his science late night that he did last year.  Last year was the inaugural event, so hopefully it’s already drummed up business since people are aware of it now.  Then, I’ll head up north for an appointment, to hopefully return in time to pick Brandon up from his short day.  He got another “Caught Being Good” for being responsible and quietly learning in class.  Brandon told me the kid, S, that was chatty yesterday, was moved to a different area, by one of the quieter girls.  That’s good news for Brandon.

After the kids were both down, Dave was telling me about the baseball clinic.  Then, Peyton came down.  She was stammering on about something, then finally, when she got it out, she reminded me to show Dave the video from the Voices of Liberty.  Dave kept asking me, “Whose filming it?” because he, too, saw the back of my head!  I told him, “Um, someone behind us?”
