Better Day

Today was a better day.  I didn’t have to drive as far to work, and I got the kids off to school and at work by 745 am.  We had time at lunch to walk to the store, and I bought milk that we needed. I thought I could stretch what we had, but they’ve been drinking more lately.  I got a half-gallon, since I had to lug it back.  Otherwise, I would’ve gotten a full gallon.  We came back to work just in time to clock back in.  There was a minor glitch at work in that we didn’t have AC in our department.  It was pretty sticky after lunch, but luckily, it came back on after a few hours.  I left work a little earlier and did my reverse pick ups.  No emails or calls home today, so that was good.  Brandon got started on his homework, and Peyton worked on hers.  I got dinner up, and I was keeping an eye on the clock to get them in bed by 7 pm. I told them it was to make up for last night, since they’d stayed up so late.  Luckily, they only slept 10 minutes extra this morning. I’m missing a meeting about core standards at PTA tonight, but two nights in a row was a little too much.  I’m hoping to get notes from other moms who attended.  We have community night tomorrow, so we’ll be eating either Rubios or Pizza My Heart.  All in the name of fundraising!
