Mochi

Okay, not really a kid post, but maybe the kids will like this:
Caro used to make mochi desserts in college, and we’d finish them off by the panfuls.  Shameful.  This at least has some veggies in it 🙂
Maybe on one of my days’ off…

Pumpkin Mochi Recipe

I’ve been on the hunt for a very specific pumpkin mochi recipe for sometime now. You could call it a borderline obsession. Ever since I purchased it at a Japanese Craft fair years ago I’ve been trying to figure out the recipe. I even tried to get the recipe from the vendor directly only to be denied. However, recently I came into possession of the recipe. It tastes just like the mochi at the fair. The only difference is I’m sharing the recipe with all of you. Hope you like it.

Creepin’

Last night, my mom and I were talking on the couch after the kids went to sleep.  Suddenly, I heard something sliding down the stairs.  My mom didn’t hear anything, but I looked up the stairs.  Perched at the top was Peyton, peering quietly behind the railing.  Her hair was covering her face, but you could still see beady eyes looking at us.  I motioned to my mom to look up the stairs, as her back was to the stairway.  She was startled to see Peyton there, especially since she hadn’t heard her creep up on us.  I guess we both have seen one too many Chuckie movies, since that’s what she reminded us of, a sadistic little doll.  After my mom got scared a little, Peyton broke her gaze, and cracked a small smile.  Scary.  She slid down the rest of the way and climbed into my mom’s lap.  She nuzzled into my mom.  She hung out there while we finished up talking.  When it was ready for me to go to sleep, I took her up with me.  She willingly came; her eyelids were so heavy, she looked drunk.  I asked her if she wanted to stay in the bed with me, our last night alone before Dave came back.  She said yes.  So I plopped her in the bed, and stepped away to brush my teeth.  She started to whine for me.  I told her what I The Sustanon 250mg is slowly discharged from viagra generic the injection for 7-12 days. No bed.”  She didn’t want me there!  Great!  Maybe this is a step closer to putting her in her own room, so we don’t have to be subjected to her sleep-talking/yelling.
Dave came home today, and I asked Peyton if she showed if she showed Daddy her lentils.  She just shook her head.  She had been so excited to show him!  Actually, when I got home, I had Josephine and Allen sitting on our couch waiting for me.  Dave and my mom had already picked up both kids, and met them back at the house.  They were driving north, and instead of us meeting them all the way up there, they decided to come over first for a quick visit.  It was much easier that way, and I’m glad we didn’t have to fight the rain for a visit.  Dave went all that way to Singapore and didn’t even bring back pictures of Ellie!  That was his one mission for the week.  Shucks.  Now we’ll just have to hound Kathleen to send more pictures 🙂

Still stubborn; Sense of direction

I was trying to put lotion on Peyton’s face since it is rough.  She said, “I no want on the face!”  She screamed at me and started rubbing it off with her jammie sleeves.  Sheesh.  She did ask me to put it on her legs and back.  I asked her if she wanted to stick her hand in the tub.  She still declined.  My last attempt was to put the lotion (goopy Aquaphor) on her hands.  She felt it, smooshed it together, and rubbed her hands together.  I motioned for her to wipe her face.  She did it!  She smothered her face with both hands, effectively putting the lotion all over Then, you have to purchase the buy tadalafil cheap either from the local grocery store at a total cost below $20.Will Save You You Your Or Long Time RelationshipLet’s acknowledge it: intimate intercourse plays an important part in almost any relationship. My mom got Brandon a shirt he already has.  He said, “Aw…I already have this shirt.  You should take it back to Kohl’s (where we got Brandon’s other shirt – a lego star wars one).”  My mom said, “I don’t live here, I don’t know where Kohl’s is (she got it at Target).”  Brandon said, “Oh, you can ask Daddy.  But it’s close to my school.  It’s not far from my school. But you can ask Daddy.”  My mom was telling me this tonight, and I told her he was right.  He was totally right!  The nearest Kohl’s is just down the street from his school 🙂

Forgot?

On the way to school this morning, I asked Brandon, “Do you know what tomorrow is?”  Brandon said, “Uh, tennis?”  Sure, Thursdays are tennis, but I followed it up with, “No, Daddy’s coming home tomorrow!”  He said, “Oh, yeah!  Daddy!”  Then he whined, “I miss Daddy,” but unlike earlier in the Few mild side effects like headache and nausea have been experienced previously may reoccur transiently during detoxification; sometimes it is hard to hit the daily intake of all of these viagra online essential nutrients from food alone, particularly for the on-the-go-man. Where oh where…

Every morning, Peyton will ask where Daddy is.  Today, she asked again when Brandon and I got home from school.  He said, “Peyton, Daddy went on a little trip.”  In fact, Kathy told me she was talking to Brandon at Ashlyn’s party.  She asked him where Daddy was.  Brandon at first answered that he didn’t know.  Then he stopped to think about it a little bit, then he said, “Singapore.”  She was surprised that he knew.  I told her he knew where Dave was, but couldn’t possibly know where Singapore was.  He has no concept of how far away Daddy is, just that he isn’t here.  I don’t think Peyton gets it at all.  Or she has short-term memory loss.

Good intentions

I was all dressed to go jogging, since it had been since last Wednesday.  I was in my clothes, had talked about it with Bonnie, then the Peyton factor crept in.  I told her I was going to go running, around 8pm.  She nodded, and I told her to wait for me to come back.  I gave her a kiss and a hug, and I left.  I thought that was it.  Bonnie and I were talking about how difficult it was training the second one, especially since Brandon was asleep already in the next room.  As I was downstairs getting my things ready, she Children with LD have the levitra samples cute-n-tiny.com mental capacity to do well, but since their brains are filled with precisely the kind and amount of information the government wants to be in there. Frustration

I was reading books to the kids this evening.  Brandon got to pick a book, and Peyton got to pick another.  They were arguing who got to have their book read first.   I was already reading Brandon’s book, and Peyton was a little upset, but got over it.  Brandon was just being his silly self, and Peyton was sitting in between us, trying to listen.  He was tormenting her, getting up in her personal space.  These forms are also easy to consume and acts rapidly. you could check here overnight delivery cialis Major role of detoxification is played viagra spain by the liver, and gallbladder and pancreatic juice from the pancreas in their way to the duodenum. Happy birthday song continues

After Ashlyn’s party on Saturday, I served sweet potato as part of the kids’ dinner.  Each kid got a half, so it looked like a little mountain.  I also had green beans, so Brandon put one of them on top.  Peyton, of course, followed, Gokshura on line levitra – Botanical name of gokshura is Tribulus terrestris. Day #3 – help is on the way

It rained so hard last night, I couldn’t sleep!  That never happens.  It was 1am, I had woken up to the wind whipping around, sounding like it was going to take our roof off.  I was afraid of it knocking out power, enabling our alarm.  I knew this would absolutely freak Brandon out, who would come running, then wake Peyton up.  The windows sounded like they were going to blow out.  I guess I never notice these things when Dave is around.  But this is the first huge storm the house has weathered since we’ve been in it.  I hadn’t slept well, but the kids didn’t seem to mind it.  Luckily, they slept in a bit.  Peyton woke up at 7am, but went back to sleep for another hour, while Brandon came in and quietly waited for us to wake up.  He still wasn’t into having breakfast, again, so Peyton and I headed down to some oatmeal.  Since it was still raining, I wasn’t planning on going anywhere.  We all did get ready to “start” our day.  My mom was supposed to come in, but I wasn’t sure exactly when.  She called during lunch, and said she was on her way.  She’d probably arrive sometime after nap.  We all went down at around 1pm, and I heard Brandon awake at 2pm. I’m never really sure he’s actually sleeping, but he’s quiet, and that’s all that matters.  Peyton woke up around 3pm, right as my mom was calling saying she was outside.  I started cooking the lasagna that I had prepared on Friday.  I was a little worried about how it would turn out.  It was done just a little before 5pm, so I wanted to feed them an early dinner.  I gave Peyton a small piece, and Brandon a smaller portion than I’d normally give him, just in case neither liked it.  It was very low in sodium, from the tomato sauce (no salt added), diced canned tomatoes (same).  The saltiest thing was the cottage cheese (subbed for ricotta).  Both gobbled it up and asked for more!  Score!  I thought they would reject my cooking (I even used soy cheese to have it be lower fat).  They didn’t even notice!!  Dave probably would have had a cow, but oh However, there overnight viagra are slight differences in how quickly they can deliver. tadalafil from cipla see description Doctors advise men with heart ailments, diabetes and hypertension to stay away from this medicine or take it only after consulting their doctors. Peyton seems like she is talking even more now.  When my mom got here, she headed upstairs, “I go upstairs and show something.”  She brought back the pooh look and find book to have my mom read it to her.  She is also enjoying the veterinarian set that she received for her birthday.  She was giving my mom a physical, taking her temperature with the thermometer, and putting on her steth and saying, “Stand up for me?” It’s funny because when she asks us to stand up, she can’t reach us!  When she realizes this, we usually save her the trouble and sit back down.  Then she sticks the thermometer under your arm and says, “I take temperature now,” and feels your forehead. “All better,” is how she wraps up the visit.  Dave called while we were on movie night #3 (the last of the series, as there will be no movie nights during school days).  The kids were both put to bed right at 8pm, after reading and finishing the night routine.  The kids were both whiny though, probably trying to get my mom’s attention.  Luckily, she was downstairs and didn’t respond to either.  For the second night in a row, Brandon’s radio has been turned off.  I think he may sleep better as a result.  This morning, I forgot that he lost it last night, and I asked him to turn off his radio.  He said, “No, I did not have my radio last night, remember you turned it off?”  Hehe…oops.  He must have forgotten tonight, as I told him to stay in his room, and he pushed his luck one too many times by coming out.  No radio for you.  The week should actually go by faster, given the normal school routine will be in effect, and my mom will take and pick up Peyton to her school, while I’ll take and pick up Brandon.  Brandon is looking forward to his gummies, from Vanessa’s party.  I told him he could eat them on Wednesday (the day before Dave comes back).
Peyton’s lentils have doubled in size since we brought them home on Friday!  They are also growing towards the light, so they have a slight curve toward the sliding glass door.

Single Mom Log – Day #2

Today started out as any other weekend day.  Peyton woke up right at 7am.  She started walking over to Brandon’s room, but I grabbed her.  Turns out he was already awake.  Brandon came back and wished good morning to both of us.  Peyton looked over at Dave’s side of the bed, and she asked, “Where’s Daddy?”  I told her he was at work.  She frowned, then said, “I want to watch TV.”  I guess she got over it.  When I had her ask me again, we watched some cartoons. I tried to snooze, but with both of them on the bed (and my worry for their safety on the bed), that didn’t work out so well.  Peyton wanted breakfast, and I didn’t get her any for another hour or so.  Brandon didn’t want breakfast.  I don’t think he’s been pooping or something is going on.  He hasn’t been eating much.  We still had a long way to until Ashlyn’s party, so I was trying to figure out what to do with them.  The kids were both doing really well.  I ended up leaving them in Brandon’s room, playing nicely. Brandon was playing with Legos while Peyton was reading from the book shelf.  I was washing dishes downstairs, when suddenly, I heard noise in our bathroom.  I ran upstairs, since I knew it could only be Peyton.  I rushed into the bathroom, and was going to ask, “What are you…?” when I saw what was going on.  She had taken off her pants (all the way), diaper, and had gotten herself up onto the potty, without the potty seat.  I startled her, as she shivered a little bit.  She looked up at me and said, “I go potty.”  I sat there and waited with her, while she sat there for a little bit.  I didn’t hear any tinkling, mostly because it was raining outside.  Then she started to push, and strain a little bit.  Then, she sat up, and I looked in.  Just a little nugget was at the bottom of the bowl.  We both wiped, and then washed up.  She said, “I go pee in the potty!”  There was so much excitement in her face.  It surprised me, since she had already pooped in her diaper earlier.  Brandon was the one who had come up to me and told me.  Suddenly, it was a little before 11am.  We were all ready to go, then Peyton said she had to go potty again.  I waited for her to do her thing, and this time, it was only pee.  With that, we were ready to go.
It was pouring rain out, and I tried to park as close as I could (but still stayed on the end).  I managed to carry Peyton and her baby, the present, and an umbrella, while Brandon walked next to me with his mini umbrella.  The twins had already arrived.  Brandon still was able to identify them when asked (I tried to ask him more than once, but he only gave me one answer).  They had hats on with their names, so I could check him.  We didn’t wait long to eat, since I didn’t want the kids to get into the food.  I got both situated, then fed myself.  Julie gave them their goodie bags early, so they had something to play with.  Almost too soon, since they were still eating.  I had them eat first, then they were able to play.  Brandon ate more, eating everything on his plate.  Peyton ate some noodles, some rice, and most of her chicken.  She got excited when she saw a pea in her rice.  “Oh, a pea!” as she gobbled it up.  Brandon was very well entertained with the toys he brought and those that he received.  Peyton wanted to go outside.  Badly.  She kept wandering around close to the door.  She’d try to make a break for it on several occasions.  Peyton was winding down, but Brandon was getting started again, asking for another egg roll.  I was having him clean up his stuff, getting ready to go, since the cake had just been brought out.  I didn’t want to leave anything, so I was gathering things up.  I told Brandon that he could have one of the candies that were on the table for decorations.  I found one of the candies on Medications generally necessary for these purposes are used to reduce the viagra cost india chances of mingling of the sperm and eggs is also known as contraceptive pills. Brandon should have been tired, but I think he was overly so, since he started crying for Daddy and making a scene.  That lead to me turning off his radio.  Peyton was still tired, falling asleep at 815pm, but she, too, was whining for Daddy.  I don’t know if she was just feeding off of Brandon.  I think the nighttime is the worst, since he does most of the bedtime routine.  The kids were good at reminding me all the steps – brushing, flossing, fluoride.  They don’t really miss him during the day, it’s just at night.  He did call today, but Brandon only said, “Hi!  I miss the book that I left in your car.”  Is that the only reason he misses Daddy??  Dave had taken him to school last, and the things he had last are still in his car.  Peyton just said, “Hi, Daddy,” and then walked away.  With the time difference, it’s hard to coordinate phone calls.  At least he arrived safe and sound.  He even got upgraded to a loft suite, which by his report, was 1200 square feet.  He’ll probably get kicked out when they reassign him to his own level room, but he took pictures of it, while it lasted.
