Battle

Today, Brandon had a not so good day.  He started out the morning not so good, missing breakfast due to talking back at home (he got to eat at home), telling me I was going to have a red day, and then it progressed to a very bad, not so good, awful day.  In fact, we got an email from the teacher.  He had a list of 4 things that went wrong at school, which ended up with a yellow slip.  Three yellows and he gets a talking to by the principal.  He’s already received one talking to by the principal this year.  Anyways, one of the infractions was talking back.  He is prone to it, and I asked him what were the circumstances, so we can work through it and model good choices.  Dave just insists that he not talk back, end of story.  While I agree, I wanted to role play how it all went down, so we can work on Love maintains all tensions and hard times, and keeps trouble at bay. viagra from india online L-Arginine an amino acid and the herbal extracts of Gingko Biloba which besides being a memory stimulant encourages blood buy viagra online flow through the penis. Droppin’ knowledge

Today, Peyton’s report said: Peyton was so cute with Tanishka this morning. She was teaching her how to pronounce “Fantasia”.  She said, “V is for Vantasia.  Say Vah Vah Vahantasia.”  The teacher said she was very adamant about teaching Tanishka.  I talked to Miss Christine about it at the end He seamlessly viagra 100 mg pulls from life experience to meld American, Japanese, Cholo, tattoo, surf and hotrod iconography. All in a name

Peyton’s class is learning each others’ last names.  She started with Sydney, then I started testing her on the kids who I know their last names.  She named me Orion’s, Kavya’s, and Tanishka’s.  Then I started asking random kid’s names, whose last It’s a natural urge which is quite common among men of all ages, although it is most commonly found among old men. tadalafil 40mg Hence, it is levitra uk recommended that you should take the medicine after prescription. Kid talk

This was the conversation between the kids the other day in the car.

B: Uh-huh.

B: Light saBER, Peyton.
P: Oh.  What color is Yoda’s light saBER?

They were just carrying on on their own, having a great conversation about all things Star Wars.  It still boggles my mind that Brandon knows so much, considering he’s never seen the movie before.

While the kids were eating lunch over the weekend, Peyton looked at Brandon and said, “Bruddah, you look so handsome.”  I forgot if he was wearing something different or what it was, but I think he was embarrassed, as he said, “Mommy, tell her to be quiet.”

Finally, tonight, we were playing Disney kinect, something we started again last night.  We were in the Haunted Mansion, and the premise is to follow a floating opera candelabra through the house, collecting coins.  Brandon said, “Oh, Mommy, we have to follow the Kwanzaa!”  I told him, “Oh, you mean the ‘candelabra’?”  Hehe…not sure where he got the Kwanzaa from, but he’s trying to be culturally sensitive.

Finally!

Not sure what possessed me, but last night, I put the rest of our family trip to Florida almost two years ago now!  I had all the pictures organized by date, so it was easy to just get it done, with some journaling involved, now that it’s been quite a while.  I realized we had a lot of pictures of Peyton, since Brandon was riding the rides.  I always have such a hard time choosing As a result discount viagra of this, Cheap Kamagra medicines have been prepared with the same ingredient, sildenafil citrate. viagra price canada Significantly the drugs should be taken only once in 24 hours . First practice

Brandon had his first t-ball practice today.  We tried to get him to sleep before, but I don’t think he actually slept.  Peyton, on the other hand, was very asleep.  The boys left, and the plan was for us to walk over when Peyton woke up.  She didn’t wake up until almost 3pm, after sleeping by about 1230pm.  Practice was at 2pm, so I decided to drive over instead.  We got there just as things were wrapping up.  Peyton was excited to see Brandon, though she didn’t want to go to practice, and preferred to watch Aladdin instead since she’d kept her underwear dry.  She sat with Brandon and his teammate, then we headed over to the park.  The last time we were at this park was about 2 weeks ago, for Dave to practice with Brandon.  In that time, Peyton’s learned how to get herself started on the swing.  Just two weeks ago, she had problems getting up onto the swing and pushing off.  Now, it’s not pretty, and it looks as if she would let go, but she can do it!  Brandon was playing with his teammate, Jonathon, a second grader, who is 7 years old.  Since this is over-the-counter type medication which essentially means that you don’t need any doctor’s prescription to buy this medicine. female levitra This is the prime reason why one should discuss viagra no prescription overnight about order generic cialis the problems without any shame. On the mouth!”  We’ll see how long that lasts.  Brandon’s next practice is on Tuesday, at his school!  That’s perfect, since we can just pick him up from after school and head over to the field.  That’s Dave’s day to pick him up anyways, so it’ll work out nicely.  The season is underway!

Girls night out!

May is in town, staying with Tracy, so we all went out Friday night for a fancy dinner courtesy of Tracy and her recent purchase of her new home.  May had taken a later flight, so instead of me picking her up earlier in the day, Tracy went to get her.  It was good timing, since I was able to get the kids picked up, and not have to subject May to two more kids when she’d just flown away from her own.  I called them after Dave had gotten home, and both were at Tracy’s place already.  Dave had brought home sea bass, probably to compensate for me not being there and to make me wish I was eating at home.  The kids kept asking for more, so by the time they were done, there was no leftover fish.  I didn’t want to sit at home and pick on green beans or whatever, so I wanted to leave right away.  I’d already given Peyton her bath, so it was one less thing for Dave to do, thus not as much guilt-tripping.  They were all eating when I left, completely happy, though Brandon thought he was accompanying me and started to put his shoes on.  I had to break the bad news to him, but he got over it.  I headed up to Tracy’s, and we hung out a bit until it was time to leave for dinner.  The restaurant was a fancy steak house by our old condo, so essentially we were passing by our house, but it was still nice to be all together in the car.  I’d never seen Tracy’s new place, so it was a good time for a tour.  We got there and had to wait about 5 minutes.  Even though it was very close to our condo, I’d never been in there.  It was definitely not for the faint of heart when it comes to looking at meat.  Many different cuts were displayed out in front, and all very “raw”.  Reminded me of when we stop on our trips back and forth to LA at the cow place.  We sat down, and it was so nice to not have to worry about anyone else.  We all caught up with each other, and were so busy talking, the wait staff had to keep interrupting us to inform us about their menu and take our orders.  They started us out with an amuse bouche, which was a duck fritter.  It was If you’re wondering how to slow down the aging process, aid in weight click to find out generico levitra on line loss and increased physical exercises improves erectile dysfunction (ED) in obese men. I don’t think I’d ever had foie gras, or maybe not served “straight up”.  I have to admit it was pretty decadent.  I just had to not think about its origin, and just concentrate on how yummy it tasted.  Apparently, it won’t be on the menus after later this year, as it will be illegal to serve.  After we’d wrapped up dinner, we went back to Tracy’s house again. We chatted a bit more, then I realized it was 1am!!  I don’t remember the last time I was having fun til that late!  I knew I’d pay for it the next day, when the kids rolled around at 630am, but it was worth some good girl time!  They are headed off to the city today, but Brandon’s first tee ball practice is today, so we’ll all be going to that.  Luckily, it’s at the park where we normally play, so I’ll keep Peyton entertained at the structures, and come around here and there to see what the boys are doing.
I’m not normally one for food pictures (Dave doesn’t like it as it is distracting) but I couldn’t help it!  I wanted to remember what we’d eaten.  Only, we’d forgotten to take pics of the steak before digging in, so we only have the apps and dessert.  Excuse the messy table, we were grubbin’!

Planets are aligned!

After having a nocturnal visit from Peyton at 4am, I thought the day was going to start out a bit rough.  We both ignored her at first, then when she whined, Dave told her to go back to her room.  After a minute or less, she went back to her own bed without further fuss.
Peyton had picture day today, and we were practicing her nice smile while we were getting ready.  She always has the most feigned smile, like it’s paining her to show teeth.  It’s best to just make her laugh, and it will be more natural.  She said, “I see the boy with the beard.  He’s funny.”  The photographer is this portly guy with a beard and glasses.  He tried his hardest to get her to smile last time, and it was only with me that she was able.  I didn’t have the time to wait around until 9am, when they were ready for pictures, so I hoped for the best.  We chose some springy colors, even though it was dreary outside.  She wore a skirt and some boots.  I’d packed some clothes for her to change into after pictures were taken this morning.
This afternoon, I received a call from the teacher.  My heart stopped as I realized it was school calling.  I directed my student to the task at hand, then quickly stepped out to answer the phone.  Ms Joanne was on the other end, and she just wanted to confirm I was free to be a chaperone for the field trip in 2 weeks.  Really?  Phew…I never get calls from the school, so I was afraid something happened to my accident-prone child.  Luckily, things were well.  Ms Joanne also reported that pictures went well, and Peyton was happy to smile for the camera.
When I went to get her, I saw her clothes, that were to be changed into, were still in the bag.  I asked Ms Joanne about it, since it was a bit cold.  She said Peyton was doing so well today, and she didn’t want to mess with things.  She said Peyton asked to stay in her skirt, and they let her since she rarely dresses that way at school.  She was happily swinging and didn’t want to get off.  She did finally come running, and told me she kept her underwear dry.

Soon after I received the call from Peyton’s school, I received an email from Brandon’s teacher.  I only saw that she was the sender, and the first few words of the email as a preview, “I just wanted to let you know,”   I quickly opened it, and it read, “Brandon had a FANTASTIC day today!!  He’s been working really hard this week to be safe, respectful and responsible.”  Really, fantastic was in all CAPS!!  I smiled upon reading it, and even quickly IM’d Michelle with whom I’d been chatting.  Phew.  I had to think of ways to celebrate it.  Yesterday, I’d talked to him about the theme of this month, cooperation.  He told me, “No, this month is not cooperation.  Cooperation starts TOMORROW.  Since it’s March.”  So apparently, he wanted to get the student of the month this month.  He has been trying harder not to lie.  Yesterday, he was telling us what happened at school.  He started out, “First, the teachers thought we were supposed to go to the eating area, then next, two kids, Joshua and Vivian went to the office, and then we didn’t know where to go.”  He went on and on, and we couldn’t figure out what he was talking about, but it did sound like he was telling us the truth about the sequence of events.  He looked so sincere, making direct eye contact, which is something he doesn’t do when he’s not telling the truth.  We took him to dinner for having such a great day (and I wanted tomato soup and cheesey bread at the salad place).  He was telling us how he was helping his friends with math.  I’m not sure if he’s supposed to be helping them, but he sounded like he was doing a good job.  Hopefully it was a cooperative exercise, but he was proud of having such a good day.  He earned back one of the many toys that were removed over the weekend.  Yay for progress!
I took away Peyton’s “Daddy’s blanket” at bedtime tonight, as her consequence of coming out of her room.  She cried hard for a minute, then found something else to cuddle up with, and laid down without any more to say.  I told her if she slept in her own room, all night long, she could have it back.  Here’s to a good night’s sleep.  I have girls’ night out tomorrow!!!
