Today, Dave texted me while I was still at work that he had both kids at the park already. I drove by the park and felt like a kidnapper. Peyton was playing with Kyle and Brandon, when I rolled down the window. She looked up, then looked away, then looked at me again while I waved. She came over to me, then I told her to get in the car. Of course, at that point, I locked eyes with Dave who started to look for her, too. I told him she was already in the car, and that I’d come back. We went home to have her shower while I finished dinner prep. Her salad was at the park already, while I got mine ready to go. We arrived right in time for the game to start. We set up our seats, had a nice big blanket, and I did her hair before she started to eat. We were the only fans on our bench for awhile. Brandon was first up. He didn’t do so well in his first at-bat. But I got a good shot behind the fence:

Dave wanted Brandon to hit a homer over the fence, but i’m sure he’ll take this one as well. It should’ve been a triple, but with the overthrow and aggressive base running, he got all the way around.
His fourth at-bat, yielded a 2-RBI single to close the inning for their max of 5 runs, sealing the win for the team.
