Baseball Saturday

We started our morning early, as usual. Brandon got a haircut, while I got Peyton ready to go for the day. She got to practice her song for a few times, then I got her breakfast. Dave and Brandon went to the field early for prep. Peyton and I walked, and she asked to play math games. She wanted me to give her word problems. But when I made them too hard (“I give you 8 thank you cards now, and you need to write 15 total, how many more do you need?”), she got upset. I tried to walk her through it, and she knows 8 plus 7, but she shut down when I asked her in this format. We finally made it to the park, and we arrived just in time for the first pitch. I’d brought a pixel book for her, but it turned out Sadie and her brother ended up with it, while Peyton played with an even older girl in Hailey, a sixth grader. Peyton would just hang around, and she didn’t say anything, but she watched Hailey make a daisy headband. The game ended, and then it was time for the end of the season party at the pizza place. We headed over, and then all ordered separately. They ate in the subway car, and we took up much of the restaurant. Food was delivered quickly, and when Hailey arrived, I asked Peyton to sit next to her, since she’d effectively asked her to come. I ended up chatting with her about sixth grade and all that that entailed. Dave gave a mini-speech for each kid, and handed them their pins and titanium necklaces that he purchased for each one. We headed home, as I’d wanted Peyton to nap before the recital. I purposely let her sleep in her dress, since I knew she’d be a bear to awaken. She slept for an hour or so, and then I went about the task of awakening her. As expected, she was a grump. Within five minutes, I got her out the door. We headed to Ms M’s house, and there were some kids just arriving. The living room was filled with chairs, and the kids were all nicely dressed. We were given a program, and then the recital started right away. The kids were to sit in a holding room, off to the side of the living room (her older son, away at college’s room).

We could still see them, but they would come and bow. Of our two kids, Peyton went first.

Brandon went right after, and he ended up using his music instead of memorizing, but it turned out for the best.

IUI buy cialis online isn’t recommended if both your tubes have adhesions or scarring that might stop an egg traveling from the ovary in the middle of the monthly cycle. After the next two performers, we headed out. In all, it was about 20 minutes. Short and sweet. We didn’t stay for the second half, as there would be another 13 performers. Peyton told me, “I messed up.” I told her it was okay, that mistakes happen. Brandon chimed in that he did not. Of course, it wasn’t appreciated at the moment.

Peyton had a playdate set up at 3 pm. We were home by 230 pm, and she changed. Dave kept asking when we were leaving, so we finally did by about 255 pm. Sydney was already there, and they were changing. Peyton asked for her clothes, and then three of them were in the pool. None of the adults went in, but I kept my eye on them, as I was just telling my mom that Peyton wasn’t completely water safe. I still didn’t trust her, as she panics on occasion, especially when the pool was crowded with other kids. Neha was the last to arrive, and then it was the foursome back together again. Sami also tagged along, and it was a little scary, when he fell in and was bobbing up and down. I pointed it out to his mom, and she went over, but he fished himself out. Misha’s dad was a bit scared after that, and had the girls come to the shallower half of the pool. The girls took turns eating and playing in the water before succumbing to the cold water. They then went inside to change. Only they changed into dress up clothes! Peyton came out in a bright lime green bridal looking dress, looking more like Tinkerbell. But they wanted to do face painting, so I recommended she change so as not to get Misha’s clothes dirty. The girls migrated back and started using stencils to paint each other’s arms. Sydney had a bday party to go to, so she left a bit earlier, while I had no reason to pull Peyton, so I let her play until Neha had to leave. We all left together, and I didn’t get any complaints. We came home and had a quiet evening watching what else…baseball! UCLA is in contention for the CWS. And the softball team was battling it out, too.

Here are the pics from our last swim lesson with Ms Sarah.  Sniff sniff she will be missed!!
