Second to Last Day of School

Today, I picked up the kids after work, and they both presented me with their goodies. Peyton had two awards – “Helping Hand” award, given to her by her teacher for her service to the classroom. I’ve been told that she loves to help out the teacher in class. Other awards was the “Honest” award, given to her friend Daniel. Violette got the “happy” award. She said she couldn’t remember the other awards given out, but everyone got one. She also was proud to show me her “Perfect Attendance” award. I asked who else got the perfect attendance award. She said she was the only one! I went to get Brandon, and he got his, too. Brandon pointed out this was the first year the prize wasn’t engraved with the school’s name. He’s gotten binoculars, a watch, and now the lantern. We missed one year, first grade, because of the wedding and FL trips. Dave is excited because now we can go places randomly. Brandon was one of two kids to get the award in his class. He was excited to tell me all about field day. There were 10 teams, each team with a few kids from each class. I asked him who was in his class, and he said Frank. I asked him who else was on his team, and he said, “Grace was on my team.” What are the odds!

Peyton got some gifts from her cdc teacher.  She’s loving the glasses.
