School day!

Today Peyton was being honored by her teacher for citizen of the month: preseverance. I took the kids while Dave was going to go to work.  But he met me at school. He was in a hurry so he waited until she was called up and took some pictures and left.  I hadn’t reloaded the camera with a memory card, so we only had cell phones.   I thought she saw both of us by Brandon’s class, but she said she was surprised.

I went to work before going back to pick Peyton up.  She practiced her piano, without tears, then went to get Brandon. He practiced with tears, but we got it done. I took them to help get the sock hop ready. Peyton had her vest on to help put donated socks in boxes.  The girls got into it and were having fun.

Dave took Brandon and a friend they took from the sock hop to the batting cages. It was an impromptu play date.  His mom was super happy to be kid free!  She ended up leaving from the sock hop to go with another mom.  I lost Peyton a few times – once she was on stage with her Girl Scouts and another she was playing four square with four older boys. All I heard was her ordering them around. I watched from a distance amused.  Finally the last dance was on and she went in to join. Actually to just people watch.  A true wall flower.  Here are our pictures:
