Highlights: Sunnyvale Southern jumped to an early lead in the bottom of the first, scoring once and then erupted for 10 runs in the second to make it a 11-3 game after just two innings of play. Highlights of the inning include consecutive hits by Ochinero, Tsao and then Caleb Su, Jayden Duong, Tyler Gray, and Oliver Chang for Sourthern who had 10 of the first 11 batters score. For Homestead in the second, it was consecutive hits by Max Feldan, Tyler Reyes, Charles Conley, and Hailey Saw that put across 3 runs. Southern added a run in the third but were held scoreless after that on some fine pitching by Jake Petrrol. Homestead made a late rally by scoring 1 in the 4th, 2 in the fifth, and 4 in the 6th, bringing the go ahead run to the plate. They fell just short but made a great game of it. Their 6th inning included hits by Prettol, Feldan and Reyes. Congratulations to Southern as they take the victory and play Los Altos at Campbell on Wednesday and a good job by Homestead who will continue tournament play on Friday at Sunnyvale National.
