We tried to take first day pictures yesterday but Brandon had raggedy hair. He got his hair cut last night. Both kids went to school with Dave as they were all eager to start their day. I was cleaning up and making sure I had everything as I wouldn’t be returning either.
Dave got their pictures again by the sign and front of the school. They were awaiting my arrival. I went to Peyton’s line while Dave followed Brandon. He came back empty-handed since he didn’t want to embarrass them.

I tried to go see Brandon but they were well in class by then. I went to coffee with the principal before heading to the movies. I met michelle and we walked at least 10k steps! Then we got back for our movie Bad Moms! It was pretty funny and very relatable, especially as the kids were going back to school. I even drank at the theater! Cider for me, wine for Michelle though I cut myself off at half to be able to make it back to school.
I made it with plenty of time to pick up the kids. We headed to get Peyton’s haircut. Brandon wasn’t excited, but they were excited to share their day with me. The woman cutting her hair is the daughter of the lady who cut Peyton’s hair the first time. She needed 10″ to donate so we went for it despite some protests. She kept giving me dirty looks but no tears. Everyone told her it looked super cute except Brandon who told her she looked weird. Poor kid.
