End of the week

Yesterday, I had an eye appointment, so the kids came along with me. They sat nicely with books while it was light then were fascinated by my eyes in the dark.  We headed home to make lunch – mac and cheese. But “health” version. It was more like pasta with a butternut squash puréed sauce with cheese on top. It was yummy and the kids asked for seconds. Always a good sign that they like it. Dave came home early and surprised us all. We went for an impromptu trip to Costco and ended up finding some pretty useful things.

Today, Dave was home all day. We hung out in the morning since it was rainy then we headed out for lunch at Alexander’s.  The kids got dressed up as did we, and we enjoyed a nice lunch there.  They were on the best behavior as they saw all the tables with their cotton candy. I told them it comes with all of the meals.  They enjoyed the hamachi shots and sashimi. And they split a filet tip entree with sides of green beans and mac and truffle cheese.  It was just enough for them. I had a lobster club while dave got a healthy portion of beef. We came home to veg out for the rest of the day. We got to some projects and cleaning that we’ve been trying to organize. It was a productive day!
