Swim Day Part #3

Today was Peyton’s third day in the pool! The Kao’s graciously hosted Peyton and me today, while Dave and Brandon were at the baseball game. We left when Dave and Brandon did, with a stop for some strawberries. Within 5 minutes, the kids were in the pool, which was so nice and warm. Peyton stepped into the steps, and plopped right in, not even knowing how deep it was. Luckily, I was right there, and she was able to get back onto the step. She is used to the community pool, which starts at 2.5 feet. She wasn’t able to stand in any part of the pool, which made her work! She was interested in the water cannon, but she kept whacking me with it, when she’d try to swim and hold it at the same time. I was trying to convince her to shoot it while sitting, or swim without it. But she was being a bit whiny about it. She later whispered in my ear that she was hungry. Ted had already been firing up the grill, but she hadn’t realized that. Then, she declared that she wanted out of the pool. I told her that food was not yet ready, then she changed her mind and got back in. At one point, Mckayla and Marcus were jumping in the pool. Peyton decided to jump in over the stairs, and after telling her how dangerous that was, she went around the other side. The problem with that was that she was trying to jump in the deeper side of the pool. I’m not that strong of a swimmer to fish her out of the deeper area just for her to play around. I’m sure I could if it were life or death, but I didn’t want to have to find out. She was okay fishing for rockets, with a push under. After less than an hour, the kids got out, and we all got showered up. As soon as she was changed, they all went to go play. Then, veggies were up, so the kids all had one helping of veggies before returning inside to play. Once the meat was done, the kids all got to select a piece of bread (Marcus and Peyton chose the largest slices!) and then each had 4 pieces of meat served to them. Peyton ate most of her bread before starting on her meat. It was a hit or miss whether she’d want to eat the meat, as she was working on it for awhile, but then later, she was done and asked for more! Her compliment to the chef, for sure! I cut 3 more small pieces, and she ate that, too, still asking for more. She stopped after eating a few more pieces, and then it was jello time! Michelle had made some mango/strawberry jello, and Peyton had many of those. We also served the strawberries, and the kids all ate them. Then, more playing. One time that Peyton went potty, I told her there were 30 minutes left. Obviously, the hairs are an inherent viagra sample pills part of the biliary system, gastrointestinal tract, and entire body. The diagnosis of prostate cancer in their life. She said it didn’t start until she washed her hands. They were all playing in Mckayla’s room, while the adults were hanging out in the kitchen. We didn’t hear from them for a long time! So long, in fact, that Michelle went to go check on them. They were playing with the ipod, taking turns listening to music and playing games. When they came out to the family room, they dumped two bags’ worth of toys onto the floor to play. I then gave Peyton a 10 minute warning, saying that we had to leave. Marcus was going to go for a nap, so we had to leave, and Marcus was told that when Peyton leaves, he needs to take a nap. So, it worked for both of them. Peyton helped clean up the toys, making sure Marcus’ went in his bag, and Mckayla’s went in hers, though I’m not sure she had everything straight. She reluctantly said thank you and goodbye, and we headed home. She stayed up for the ride back, and then whined for me to sleep with her. I told her I wanted to do something before nap, so she should go first. I turned her music on, and she went back to her bed, where she fell asleep in 2 minutes. I then took a nap as well, and she slept for 2 hours! She got up to work on her Sleeping Beauty puzzle for a bit before I told her it was time to go to dinner. She grabbed her own cheese stick to go for a snack, and then we headed out. We met up with Dave and Brandon at the restaurant. Laurie and Scott were shortly behind us. Dave had gotten some clearance legos for Brandon, and an activity book for Peyton. I’d also brought books for each of them, so they were mostly entertained, given they were the only kids. Dave and Brandon headed home as soon as dinner and the mango rice was done, while Peyton and I stayed around for me to chat and catch up a bit. We didn’t leave until 9 pm, and she was still up in the car. She was telling me creepy things, like, “The lights are spying on you, Mommy.” I wasn’t sure if she was just delirious. Then, I asked her what her favorite dish was at dinner; her response, “The water,” though she ate everything given to her, so I’m not sure what that was all about. I got her home, and reviewed the plan with her to change her clothes, and get ready for bed immediately. Within 10 minutes, she was in bed. Hopefully she is okay tomorrow morning. I have a feeling I’ll have to wake her up right before it’s time to leave.
