A Shower!

Today we had a shower at work – only I had forgotten about it.  It wasn’t supposed to be a surprise, but when I walked in the door this morning, Paula said, “It’s your big day!”  It took me awhile to figure out what she was talking about.  My memory seems to be fading recently – let’s blame that on Baby Sister.  We had a nice lunch and then gifts!!  Lots of gifts!  I was never really a fan of pink growing up, but I love it now!  Girl clothes are sooo much cuter than boy clothes, that’s for sure.  While driving home, I called Dave to see where he was.  He had already picked Brandon up, so I told them both that there was a baby shower for Baby Sister and me at work today.  Brandon just repeated, “Baby shower?”  He was probably confused, because he knows we take showers, but why would I take a shower at work?  And why with Baby Sister?  So he kept asking, “Why?” over and over again.  So I wanted to go out and get some Thank You cards to start writing them right away.  We went to one of our stationery stores, and while I was there, I saw some ceramic letters.  I was just going to get the first initials of each kid’s name, but then I got excited and got their monograms.  Dave picked out Brandon’s pattern for letters, and I picked out the pink letter pattern.  Hopefully one day, I’ll get them up on The “unblocked” buying viagra in usa nostril deals with the fast results. Later tonight, as we were brushing Brandon’s teeth, Dave looked closely and saw plaque on his teeth!  Yuck!  We’re pretty diligent about brushing his teeth.  And the funny thing was that the plaque was between two teeth that have a pretty wide gap.  I would have thought that the plaque would be more apt to form between two teeth that were very close together.  Dave tried to brush, then floss, then brush again, this trouble spot, but it wasn’t budging.  Brandon did let me try to scrape it away with my nails – Dave’s fingers were too big to get into Brandon’s mouth, although he kept trying to lick my fingers.  It turns out I was successful at picking away at it, even with Brandon’s tongue being in the way.  We even used the flashlight that Justin got Brandon for Halloween (Thanks, Justin!).  I have to be even more careful and make sure it doesn’t build up there again.  His baby teeth have to last several more years!

  1. Excellent work. Keep it up. You can use an electric toothbrush which will help. They make kids ones that are cheap and disposable.

  2. Yes, we use the spinning toothbrush! We’ve gone through several since he will occasionally bite down as we brush. At first I thought it was kinda gimmicky, but it really makes it easier! Especially before, when he used to fight us.
