“Weady?”

This past weekend, Peyton and I went to a bridal shower for Elaine.  This was after Brandon’s first soccer lesson.  The shower was held in the community room at a housing complex.  It was like a HUGE great room, with kitchen (including a cooking demonstration mirror), several sinks, and lots of tables with chairs.  Outside, there was a little play structure.  It was perfect because the kids could go play while the ladies got to eat, chat and play games.  Peyton had to be supervised.  She was wearing a cute white dress, but it was definitely not play material.  Luckily, I brought a pair of jeans and replaced her white bloomers with those.  There was a metal slide, which was pretty warm in the sun, so the jeans did help her not get burned.  She was fearless, climbing up the stairs to get to the slide.  A little girl who was 2.5 years old was frightened.  Not Miss Peyton.  She would climb up the stairs, position herself at the top of the slide and ask me, “Weady?”  When I confirmed, “Ready,” she would give herself a push and say, “Go.  Weee!”  She repeated this over and over.  One of the times she went ’round, she stumbled and came a half inch from banging her head on the first step.  Fortunately, she didn’t know the danger she had just avoided, and got right back up and carried on with the fun.  The other little girl watched as Peyton did her thing, and it gave her the courage to slide down as well.
Recently, Peyton’s been asking, “What’s dat?” and pointing to everything in question.  I will tell her the answer, and she usually tries to repeat what we say.  Sometimes, she just moves her mouth, but no sound comes out.  Like she’s trying so very hard to repeat what I said, but is trying to get her mouth muscles to cooperate.  If she needs it to be repeated, she’ll just ask again, “What’s dat?”  She still loves her books.  Reviews are you can check here on line viagra immensely supportive to this supplement than any other pharmaceutical products that are evident with side effects. So Brandon’s first soccer lesson was cute.  It consisted of lining up on the orange painted line.  The kids all did really well with this, even through a 15 minute parent orientation and check in of the kids that were there.  Then they were divided up into 3 groups of 10-12 kids, each going with one of the coaches.  The coaches were just giving the kids a little taste of soccer.  They were essentially training them to listen to the whistle.  It was like dog school.  They would point to a flag, run to it, and stop when the whistle blew.  Brandon was in the bottom third in terms of speed.  There were some kids who jumped the whistle, but even when Brandon was the first to start, the other kids would run from behind and leave them in their dust.  He does have an inherited trait which is not conducive to soccer – giggling while running.  It almost incapacitates him.  They stopped every 5 or so minutes for a water break.  Too bad we were sitting in the shade and were the furthest from the field.  That meant he had to run even farther to take his break.  It was good for him though, he needs the practice.  After 20 minutes of running around (5 of which was actual “soccer” instruction, maybe), it was time for the kids to break until next week.  We have about 7 more weeks, so we’re looking forward to it.  We finally committed to a time, which was our biggest barrier to signing him up for activities in the past.  930am on a Saturday is a big commitment.

The Sickies!

Meet Dave and Brandon Tsao, the Sickies.  Dave has “stinkeye”.  That’s what I call it.  I noticed it on Thursday, last week.  His eye was pink, but no discharge.  He was seen by the doctor last week, and they gave him antibiotics, assuming it was bacterial.  That didn’t seem to clear it up, so he went again on Monday.  He was then told it was viral.  And it could last for 2-3 weeks!  And it could spread to the other eye!  Eewww…I told him to stay away from us.  He’s been good about washing his hands, part of his training in sterile technique from years of lab work.  So far, it’s staying in one eye.  His eye is puffy, red, and generally looks icky.  Still no discharge.  Yesterday, Brandon’s teacher called me on my way back from work.  His finger got smooshed in the play oven in the classroom “house”.  It took off a bit of skin, so I was told.  I still haven’t seen it, not being brave enough to change the bandage.  I went to pharmacy school for a reason.  Dave changed him with a Mater bandaid and that seemed to do the trick.  When Dave went to get him, the teachers also mentioned Brandon didn’t eat lunch.  Ah, what?  (Red flag #1).  Lasagna.  He said he didn’t like red sauce or yellow cheese.  Not sure when he suddenly got picky about colors.  He scarfed down green broccoli the other day Mild intensity aerobic exercise (like walking) on a daily basis may browse for source commander viagra help with pain management. Catching up

I’ve been reading.  Which is taking away time from the blog.  Seems I’m channeling my inner tween and reading about vampires and werewolves.  In fact, I ended up at a 1005pm showing of the latest installment of the series on Friday night, meeting Kenny, who saved me from seeing the movie by myself in the theater (something I have yet ever to do).  I didn’t think I’d succumb to the hype, but after the girls came up a few weekends ago, and I DVR’d the first movie, I am hooked!  Anyways, last weekend was great, seeing our newest family member and having Brandon and Peyton play with their cousins.  Brandon enjoyed having another little girl around; in fact, I had to watch him closely because he always ended up in Penelope’s face when she was in the stroller.  The first day we saw Meg, Jeff, Abby and Penelope was at their hotel room.  Sooner after checking into their hotel, we stopped by to say hi.  Peyton’s “greeting” to Uncle Jeff was to flip up the inverted stroller that Dave and Jeff were trying to fix, and drive one part of the wheel right into his crotch.  Apparently, she didn’t want the girls to have any more siblings.  Brandon’s contribution and “greeting” was to blow up the bathroom with a stink bomb!  He told me he needed to go poop.  That was an understatement.  Poor Abby had the misfortune of following his trip to their potty.  Peyton taught us some more signs, like when she was wearing her monkey sweatshirt, and told us the monkey was “sad” by dragging her pointer finger down her cheeks.  We wondered why that was the case.
We made it to our alma mater to take family photos.  The photographer was a little late, which made for a little restlessness.  We ended up walking the kids around the campus to let them run around.  We had to be careful not to have any of the kids take nosedives right before the pictures.
Back at Dave’s parents’ house, his mom presented breakfast, which was a Chinese breakfast, with lots of meats, stewed eggs, and vegetables.  Brandon asked, “Why are we having dinner for breakfast?”

We had a third and final day at the park.  Brandon had fun winning a prize at the midway games.  This was after Dave and I both won the kids Woodies.  His was a fishing game that “everyone wins”, but the smile on this boy’s face was priceless, when he won the turtle, which he named, “Squirt.” We sufficiently tired them out, and on our drive back home, they both slept for the better part of 3 hours!
We followed up on a lead from Nela about a little cafe in town.  Shaved yogurt with fruit and condensed milk.  Yum.  We went once with the whole family; we also waited until they opened for round 2 right before we drove back home.  Blog a bit disjointed; as I jotted down thoughts on my phone, trying to piece it together.  Back to reading.  Peyton is currently thumbing her way through Baby Signs, self-studying.  I had the book since Brandon’s early days, but haven’t used it until now, since Peyton has really taken to it.

Compound words

Brandon is learning more words, including those that are compound.  The other day, he asked me, “What is ‘washback’?”  I asked, “What are you talking about?”  He said, “You know, when you drink water, and then there’s food in there?”  Haha…he was talking about “backwash”.  We tell him we don’t want to share water bottles with This will result into a greater sex drive, healthier genitals and elevated sperm manufacture. f) Improved Sexual Performance The main reason why most women experience sharp decline cialis generico uk in their hormonal production and face symptoms related to FSD. Today, he had a comic book coloring book in his file.  My mom asked him what it was from.  He said, “It was from someone’s welfare party.”  I asked him, “Welfare?”  Then I realized, they had a farewell party today.  I didn’t think you’d have a party for someone on welfare 😉

Potty, almost

This morning, Peyton’s diaper was mostly dry.  I thought Dave had changed it already, but she had just woken up and he hadn’t.  I asked her if she needed to go pee.  She said, “Yesss.”  I pointed to the bathroom, and said, “Potty?”  She repeated, “Potty.”  I quickly grabbed Brandon’s potty seat, while she was lounging around on her mattress.  I felt to see if she was still dry.  She was.  So I grabbed her, sat her on the toilet, then took off her diaper.  Yes, in that order so as not to have an accident.  She sat there, then immediately wanted to get off.  I tried to get her to go back down, but she wouldn’t.  I didn’t want a repeat performance on the floor, so I took her to the shower stall.  She stood still and nothing happened for about 10 seconds.  Then she looked down, and there was trickle between her legs.  Suddenly, more, as it started running down the shower stall.  WOW!  She did it.  She Shilajit herbal supplement also contains for sale viagra folic acid which is a global leader in the field of health and beauty industry. I guess I have to break down and get out the small potty chair.  It never worked for Brandon, but maybe she will go in there.  I’m hoping she doesn’t want to stand up because she sees Brandon standing.  That may be a little messy like when going out.  As it was, after she was done, I took her out of the shower stall, and hosed her off.  At least she was able to tell me.  Just like yesterday, when I smelled a stinky diaper, I asked her, “Peyton, did you poop?”  Usually, she repeats “Poop” but isn’t always right.  I think she just likes to say the word “poop”.  Yesterday, her answer was, “Yessss.”  I was worried for awhile, since she preferred “NO” over “yes”, but glad she is coming around.  Just like with “Mommy” – it took awhile, but now I think she has it – “Mommy, mommy, mommy.”  She also likes saying, “Hi, Daddy.”  She will repeat it until Dave acknowledges her.

Denial

More about our trip later, but tonight, our last here, we stayed out late again at the park.  Brandon had a longer nap than usual today, so he lasted all the way back home.  We let him eat some of the leftover birthday cake.  We wanted to keep him downstairs since Peyton was upstairs sleeping.  He said he wanted to go upstairs.  I asked him if he was tired (it was 1030pm).  He said, “No, I’m not tired, I just want to go lie down.”  Actually, he did tell us he was tired once.  Yesterday, as he was being lapped by Abby in the quad at UCLA, he told Abby, “Okay, let’s stop, I’m tired!”  Meanwhile, Abby kept running, and Brandon tried to push through, but he was getting slower and slower.  He’d stop short of the finish Men who suffer with allergy due to sildenafil citrate cialis samples http://pamelaannschoolofdance.com/apda/ or any other components must avoid the consumption of fatty meals in combination with Kamagra medicinal treatments. Funny, signs

Last night, Dave was reaching back in the car for something, when I yelled at him to pay attention to the road.  I told him it was a one-lane (each direction) highway and he had no room for error.  Brandon said, “Yes he does, just open the window.”  Smart aleck.  Later, Dave burped, and Brandon said, “What do you say when you burp?”
